🎅🏼🎄🌟 Christmas Fundraiser in aid of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity 🎅🏼🎄🌟
A year ago i didn't think we'd get to spend another Christmas together as a family, but thanks to the teams at Royal Marsden, my husband will now hopefully see many more Christmases with us.
As my way of saying thank you to them for the skill, support, and kindness over the last year, i'm donating 10% of all Christmas sales through Etsy to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, in the hope that the funds can go towards helping other families spend Christmas with their families.

Relaunching for Cosy Season!
We have been particularly quiet on socials for the last couple of months. We had a lot going on behind the scenes and in our personal lives, and after an absolutely crazy summer wedding season we took a couple of months to regroup, relaunch, and re-evaluate.
First up i'm pleased to say that our Christmas Seed Paper is now being uploaded to Etsy and Ebay, and this years new vintage christmas finds are also available on Etsy. You can get 20% on Etsy using code JINGLE2024.
Secondly we have expanded our preloved finds by quietly developing our Vinted Shop. We were finding a lot of our sourcing for vintage items we'd be offered preloved clothing and homewares that would otherwise be destined for the landfil. We rework these items, mending and repairing where needed, or simply laundering them so that they are presentable. Over the last year we have saved over 500 items from the landfill through this.
Finally, and on a personal note, you will remember that this time last year my husband Paul was diagnosed with Stage 4 Brain Cancer. After a gruelling year of Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy under the amazing care of the Royal Marsden Hospital he has completed treatment. We never thought we'd see another christmas, holiday, or birthday with him after his diagnosis last winter, but he has fought hard against this horrible condition and although he will be monitored for the rest of his life, right now we are enjoying a slightly less stressful time. And never one to rest fully, during his time under treatment he wrote and published his first book! A reference guide to the history of the Welsh Glamorgan Fire Service in mid 20th century, which you can purchase here;

We do have lots more to come for the Cosy season, but right now we're going to enjoy the run up to Bonfire Night and early winter events. Stay tuned to our socials for updates and much more!

✨️ End of week admin, and i'm going through all the cards and flyers i picked up at at the start of the week.
One thing that immediately leaps out is the thought that has gone into some of the branding material is amazing. I predominantly visited the trade show to get a feel of what trends will be for next year, but i've come away inspired to really build my brand to its full potential.
As the months get colder and darker, it gives me time to regroup my thoughts and think where i can take Redhill Confetti in 2025. Thank you to all the exhibitors for inspiring me.✨️

The lovely team at are selling the confetti and lavender that they grew and we prepared for them, grown onsite in their lovely pub garden, in aid of . They foster bulldogs at the pub so there's always an adorable barrel shaped pup waddling around. When i was there over the summer helping with the roses the dogs would always come up and give me their best woof, before enjoying early morning zoomies.

Hello September and Autumn!
As we get back into the swing of things after the long summer holidays, we've made a few changes to what we do and how we offer our services.
First big change is we are officially retired from in person markets and fairs. Our public liability insurance was up for renewal in the summer, and to move to online retailer only cover meant our policy dropped from almost £400 to just over £80 for the year. This was a big decision to make, but it meant we could streamline what we offer, and could also make space for our inventory by selling on our outdoor event equipment.
As we approach Winter we'll be stocking a wider range of ethically sourced Christmas Decorations, including recycled materials and ensuring suppliers operate under fair trade policies and living wage policies.
For weddings and confetti we'll be updating online listings with stock levels and reintroducing some of our classic products such as confetti cones.
We're really looking forward to what the last 4 months of 2024 have in store for us, and hope you will join us along for the ride.
Simone, Paul, and the team x

🌻 A special bright day 🌻 Ten months ago when we visited for their pumpkin picking, little did we know it would be our last familiy activity before my husband was suddenly diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer following an out of the blue seizure. In the months that followed saw brain surgery, 6 weeks of radiotherapy and chemotherapy, followed by another six months/rounds of extra strong chemotherapy.
Last week was the last round of chemo, and as he prepared the last cup of tablets an email popped into my inbox advertising sunflower picking at Priory Farm. It seemed fitting that we bookended his treatment and came full circle with our first family trip out post treatment to be to the same place we had one of our last before our lives changed so much.
So we'd like to thank the friendly faces of all the staff at Priory Farm, for unknowingly making our special day out go so well.
And it's also my birthday today, so a double whammy of happy vibes 🥰

🪻Lavender Dreams 🪻 Working with the team at this summer has been a wonderful venture for us. When we were invited to harvest their roses back in the springtime it opened up an abundance of Surrey grown petals to compliment the ones we grow onsite in our own urban garden. As quickly as the petals were harvested and dried, they were being packed and sent out the door for summer weddings, before we could even get them listed online!
Now that the summer growing season and wedding season are slowing down a little, its giving us chance to organise the stock, and we'll be getting the confetti online with one exception; the Lavender grown onsite at The Crown is exclusively available from the pub itself. All proceeds go directly to this heart of the community, family run pub, who have welcomed us with open arms.
We'll still be popping into the pub garden to check the roses as summer edges ever closer to autumn, harvesting the blossoms, before helping the team winterise the rose bushes ready for next year.

🎉 11 Years Ago Today 🎉 Eleven years of being married and of running a business. When you start things you don't know where that path will take you. For us its been a lot. A global pandemic, contracts with some of the biggest and oldest instiutions in the country, and now the challenges of chemotherapy. We've leant on each other when we needed support, and worked together when we have a challenge.
