Info for August 2nd event at the Oldham County Fairgrounds

1) RWD Street Stock
Pre ran Rwd street stock class cars will be allowed (10) 4x4 plates and unlimited 9 wire. Fresh rwd street stock cars will be allowed (8) 4x4 plates and unlimited 9 wire. Please paint yellow dots on your plates to speed up inspection. At this event we did make the exception to allow mix breeding of cars drivetrain. Chevy in ford etc. no lower cradles no protectors of any type. Period!

2) Mini heavy weld cars
Mini heavy weld cars can have (8) 4x4 plates on pre ran and (4) 4x4 on fresh. Unlimited 9 wire on both. Please paint yellow dots on your 4x4 plates to speed up inspection. Get that car that has one more run left and let’s have some fun.

3) If your interested in running circle track we will have an adult class and a youth class. 10 spots max per class pre entry. 100% pay back per class. If all 10 spots fill in that class we will add 200$ to the class. Text 859-393-5703 to secure your spot.

4) Truck class. Not seeing much activity with this class so with that being said I’m looking to get 5 trucks to pre register and paid by Friday 7/12/24 or unfortunately I’m going to change the class to something else. Text me at 859-393-5703 to secure your spot.

5) (NKY stock mowers)
We are going to add the NKY stock mowers to this event. John Peck has been nice enough to let us use his rules for this class so please tell him thank you. This class will be 100% pay back plus 200$ we will need 5 minimum to run so get your mowers together and let’s put on a show. Rules will be posted on our page with a reference picture. 6) Opinions on a king of Oldham County class? The vehicle must run in this event to enter the king of Oldham County class. This class will run last and will be a mixture of everything that runs in this event. Pretty much all classes at one time. Lmk in the comments what you think. 🤔

7) We are having MWFA class rules for the youth (15 and down) and an all females class. This is the perfect class to give first time drivers a chance to experience the fun with minimal work. Also puts you as close to an even playing field as possible for beginners to learn to drive. These cars take less than 2 hours to build.

2024 STREET STOCK FULL SIZE Demo Derby Rules
Twisted Metal Motorsports

Any 1970 and newer cars. No hearses or limousines are permitted.

General Rules
You must pass inspection within 3 times through or you will not be permitted to run.
A 12“ x 12“ roof sign is recommended. It cannot strengthen the car in any way.
Cars must be stock unless modifications are stated in the rules. Cars must have functioning brakes at all
times on at least one axle. No painting of the frames, inside of body of the car, or underneath of the car
and inside of the trunk.
Any aftermarket parts must be approved by Robby Crittendon at 859-393-5703 must call and submit
pictures for approval. Parts that are not approved before the derby are not permitted to run.
No painting of the frames, inside of the body of the car, or underneath of the car and inside of the
trunk. This includes overspray. If found with paint within those areas, the car will not even be inspected.
All trailer hitches and braces must be removed.
Batteries must be moved to the passenger front floorboard. They must be properly secured and
covered.
Patching and rust repair will be permitted only if cleared by an official.
Officials’ decisions are final! All cars are subject to re-inspection at any time.
If the car is found to have a plate on the frame or body that the rules do not allow the car will not be
permitted to run. There will be no option to fix this problem.
If you hammer/shape/weld on the frame in any manner not covered in the rules you will not be able to
run. There is no fixing this.
Absolutely no body swaps permitted!

Stripping Car Rules
The following must be removed prior to entering the fairgrounds: the windows, headlights, taillights, all
the chrome, and the mirrors. The interior must be swept clean of debris and glass. You must remove all
glass, plastic, and fiberglass on the outside of the car including the plastic bumper covers. ALL AIRBAGS
AND PUCKS MUST BE COMPLETELY REMOVED
Under the hood you may take the plastic fender wells out. The battery may be left in the stock location.
You may put a rubber mat over it or spray it with foam around it but not excessively.

Fix-It Plates
All cars are permitted four 4”x4”x1/4” square fix it plates. Or taco plates

Rear-End
Any gear is permitted. You must run the stock housing and axles for the make and model of the car. Rear
end bracing is not permitted.

Drive Train
No cross breeding the entire drive line. It must be the same make as the car (Chevy to Chevy, Ford to
Ford, etc). Stock exhaust or headers. The exhaust may be cut off.
Yes, you can have Carbureted motors in bubble top cars.
The engine must be mounted within two inches of its stock location. The engine motor mounts can be
welded or bolted in. No homemade cross members. The cross member must be stock and bolted in, not
welded. You are permitted an aftermarket aluminum radiator, but it must be bolted in like factory or
held in with ratchet straps or #9 wire. No radiator protectors or holders are permitted.
Stock drive shaft no sliders.
No trans coolers mounted inside the car. Trans cooler must be a factory style cooler in the factory
location or under the hood.

Fire wall/Window bar
You may cut the center of the fire wall away or cave the fire wall back RIGHT BEHIND THE DISTRIBUTER
ONLY!!! You can NOT run your front window bar down and connect them in any way to add strength
because you cut the firewall. Front Window bar is to go from Top 3 inches of roof to the top side of the
fire wall. No adding anything for strength. Max 3” wide flat stock no more than 3/8 thick or 1”x1” square
tube.

Fuel Tank
Fuel tank are to be mounted to the rear floor of the car or to the back bar with a gas tank halo. If this is
done, you must use a fuel cell, no boat tanks or stock fuel tank. Fuel tank must be bolted to sheet metal
in a steel structure. No stock fuel tanks are permitted inside of the car. If you move the fuel cell to the
inside of the car it must be securely fastened with bolts, and you must remove the stock tank from
under the car. Ratchet straps are not approved to mount the fuel cell.

Wiring
A simplified wiring harness is permitted. If the car has a wiring harness in front of the core support, you
may move it behind the core support.

Body Mounts
All body mount bolts must be factory stock except the front 2 body mounts and you can change 2 other
body mount bolts for rust repair. (4 TOTAL ONLY) These body bolts can be changed to ½” bolt only NO
EXTRA SPACERS!! You may change out the core support body mount to a hockey puck or metal
tubing!!!!!! 3x3x3 3-inch max tall or you will lose the spacer completely.

Doors
The doors must be chained or wired in no more than 8 places per door and no more than 2 double
stains of wire per spot. The wire for the bottom of the doors may go around frame. You may use 5/16”
chain or 2 strands of #9 wire per spot. You can weld the driver’s front door only for safety using 3” x 3” x
1/4” strapping and you can have a door skin inner or outer. Outer door skin can only overlap the driver
door gap by 3 inches. You may also run an inner door skin only on the passenger side front door no
thicker than 1/8” or similar material No other doors may be welded or have washers or angle iron
welded to them. No wire or straps can be attached from the roof to the floor in the rear seat area.

Trunk
Trunk lid can be domed / dished or tucked. The deck lid and tailgate must be in the factory position on
the car or it must be completely removed from the car. The quarter panels must stay the stock height of
the car. If you removed the deck lid you are not permitted any wire for your trunk. Two (2) 8” x 8”
inspection holes must be put in all deck lids within 2” of the center of the quarter panel rain channel
Trunk must be chained or wired in no more than 8 places and no more than 2 double stains of wire per
spot. Two of these may go around the bumper and/or the frame. You cannot remove the speaker deck
from the car. No welding or adding metal is permitted. If the deck lid is welded you will not run or you
will cut the deck lid completely off with no exceptions. The deck lid is being measured 12” from the top
of the rear quarter panels in the center of the deck lid in 3 spots starting from the back of the deck lid
up. If you don’t have a deck lid, you are not permitted any wire for your trunk.

Hood
Hoods may be wired or chained in 8 spots and no more than 2 double stains of wire per spot. No
exceptions! You may use 5/16” chain or 2 strands of #9 wire per spot. It must be sheet metal to sheet
metal only. No welding washers for holes. There must be a 12" hole in the hood in case of a fire. You
must remove the hood latch. Hoods must be open for inspection. A double strain of #9 wire or in the
center of the front windshield is mandatory.

Body
Creasing of the body is permitted but it must be behind the back door on the quarter panels only. The
quarter panels must stay the stock height of the car.
Tires
Any tire and rim combos are permitted. Doubled tires are permitted. No foam filled tires or bead locks.

Cage
4 Bar Cage is Permitted. It cannot be connected to the frame or floorboard at any point. You may have a
rollover bar, but it must run straight across and can only be welded to the top side of the rear seat bar.
You are permitted a gas tank holder off the back bar that can be no wider than 24” and must be 4’’ away
from all sheet metal. No exceptions or you are not permitted to run! These may be no bigger than 3”x
3” and the mounting plate can be no bigger than 12” x 12” and must be mounted no farther than 12”
behind the driver’s seat. You may also reinforce the driver’s door as you see fit for driver safety. This
may be done from door seam to door seam only. No wire or straps can be attached from the roof to the
floor in the rear seat area.
Steering Column
Stock steering column with swivel at rag joint
Shifter/Brake Pedal
Bolt on shifters/and aftermarket brake pedals are legal. No Aftermarket throttle pedals. You can run a
center cage bar no bigger than 2”x 2” for the purpose of mounting shifter. NO gussets off center bar for
any reason. Do Not use for strength!

Front Suspension
Solid suspension is permitted on the front only using one strap per a-arm 3’’x6’’ ¼’’ thick.
A-arm strap must stay complete, do not cut it up. You can change the front springs or add wood 4’’x4’’ or
Screw in spring risers. Nothing overboard or it won’t run.
Spindles may be changed to oem car spindle
Upper and lower ball joints must be for factory oem car and can weld in
A-arm may be changed to oem car
Tie rods must be factory oem no tubing
Must use the factory steering rack no hydraulic steering

Rear Suspension
No wire, chains, or any welding on the rear ends or the rear spring pockets. No solid rear suspension.
You may stuff rear shocks with a rag for stiffness or change rear springs and wire springs to rear end to
help hold them in.

No watts kits. Can run factory trailing arms with a simple solution trailing arm kit.

Bumpers/Bumper Mounting
Any OEM car bumper or Adept loaded is permitted except for Chrysler pointy bumpers. NO Replica
bumpers. You can use 4” x 4” box tubing that is 1/4” thick as a bumper that is no more than 5 feet long
with no point. All bumpers must be bolted or welded on in the factory location. You may collapse the
shocks and weld all the way around the shock and to the mounting plate to the bumper and there must
be a 1½” gap between the frame and the factory bumper shock plate. The shock must be bolted in the
factory location. You may add bumper shocks to the 03 up but it has to be OEM no longer than 12 inches
long. Hard nose is allowed. If hard nosed on the back side of the bumper where the bumper mounts, you
may use a 1/4” x 6”x 6” piece of flat metal to create a flat mounting surface. Hard nosing is permitted
but there must be a 1” gap between the front of the core support mounting bracket and the bumper
plate. This will be measured from the front of the core support mounting bracket to the bumper plate.
The front bumper cannot be any higher than 21” from the bottom of the bumper. The back bumper
cannot be any lower than 12” from the bottom of the bumper to the ground. You may use a bumper flip
plate and bumper shock both. Bumper flip plate must only mount on the outside of the frame and can
only go 1” past the bumper shock mounting bolt. ¼ thick max

MWFA Street Stock Challenge Rules

This class was created to have fun and fun for the fans to watch (Total Carnage), If you come with a vehicle that is built any more than what is listed below you will not run.

1. Any 1980 and newer 2 wheel drive passenger car/ mini-van/mini-truck/mid-size suv
2. All vehicles must be stripped of all plastic, glass, headlights, taillights and anything else that could fall off onto the track during the show.
3. All vehicles must remain stock, ABSOLUTELY NO WELDING ANYWHERE.
4. Bumpers must remain stock, do not alter the bumper in any way. Factory bumper shocks must remain in the factory location. You may remove rear bumpers and shocks. There is no welding to be done on bumpers.
5. Batteries may be left in stock location and spray foam may be added around the battery. You may also move the battery to the passenger floor or seat. Please make sure the battery is not moving.
6. If the factory gas tank is in front of the axle you may leave it there. If it's behind the axle, you must move it to the rear seat area. Factory tanks may be moved inside but completely secured. Aftermarket tanks may be used.
7. All doors may be wired or chained in 6 places max per seam.
8. Trunks, hoods, tailgates, all may be wired or chained in 6 places total. Sheet metal to sheet metal only. Nothing to frame or bumpers. If you remove the trunk or tailgate you lose that wire or chain.
9. Rear seat bar may be added. It may be welded to post. If you have to add something to get it away from the seat please call. This is only to stop sides from coming in, not to help any other part of the vehicle.
10. The Driver's door only may have a plate welded to the outside or inside. This is for driver safety.
11. DOT tires only. Stock wheels only. All wheel weights must be removed. Only tubes and air are permitted inside of tires.

These rules are cut and dry, you should not have to call to ask many questions in this class. If it does not say you can do it then that means YOU CANNOT do it. Quick and easy build.

2024 POWER WHEELS Demo Derby Rules

AGES: 4-12
Any regular electric power wheel is allowed. No 4- wheeler or tractor type vehicles allowed.
Child's legs must be in the compartment. All power wheels MUST have doors on it
Stock battery may be replaced with a 18 volt battery ONLY. may be located under hood or trunk but must be secured and covered at all times. You may cut out some of the engine bay to make the battery fit. All batteries must be accessible to tech crew. All batteries will be checked to ensure they do not exceed 36 volt.
MUST wear a helmet. Bicycle helmets ARE allowed.
Must have some form of seatbelt
Must be completely stock with no modifications.
NO aftermarket METAL FRAMES or added sheet metal.
No Metal Bumpers
Passengers are allowed.
No time limit
track officials will aid all competitors to get unstuck not parents.

General Rules
1: There will be no stretching or bending of any rules or you will be asked to cut or load up and go home!
2: You must pass inspection within 3 times through or you will not be permitted to run.
3: A 12“ x 12“ roof sign is recommended. It cannot strengthen the car in anyway.
4: Cars must be stock unless modifications are stated in the rules. Cars must have functioning brakes at all times on at least one axle. No painting of the frames, inside of body of the car, or underneath of the car and inside of the trunk.
5: A helmet, seat belt, and eye protection must be worn at all times on the track.
6: If it doesn’t say you can do it, don’t do it.
7: Any controversies or protests must be brought up during the drivers meeting. We have the right to reinspect, cut, or drill any car at any time. If you are caught breaking the rules you will forfeit all winnings and/or prizes you are due. If you stretch a rule, you will lose that rule.
8: All airbags, glass, plastic, and interior must be removed before arriving to the event.
9: Any aftermarket parts must be approved by Robby Crittendon (859-393-5703). You must call and submit pictures for approval. Parts that are not approved before the derby are not permitted to run.
10: No painting of the frames, inside of the body of the car, or underneath of the car and inside of the trunk. This includes overspray. If found with paint within those areas, the car will not even be inspected.

18. You are not permitted to hit anyone in the driver’s door. If you do, you are disqualified. If
you use your driver’s door to take advantage of this rule, the car that hit you is not
disqualified.
19. You may not get out of your car for any reason during the heat until you are out.
20. You are only permitted to have 1 fire in your car. This will result in a disqualification.
21. No sandbagging, teaming, or holding. Any of these will result in a disqualification. You can not pin to win.

Bumper swap mini
The rules below are not guidelines, this is a street stock event meaning that all unspecified areas of car building below are required to remain OEM as intended from manufacture in regards to material, placement and structural integrity of both frame/unibody and body panels.
ANY FRAME PLATING OR FRAME STUFFING OUTSIDE OF WHAT IS STATED IN RULES WILL BE AN AUTOMATIC LOAD
ALLRUST REPAIR MUST BE PRE-APPROVED OR MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
A MAXIMUM OF 18-20 GAUGE SHEET METAL OR OEM FLOOR MAY BE USED. MAY OVERLAP PAST RUSTED AREA 1-INCH ONLY. RUST REPAIR IS MEANT TO RESTORE CAR TO OEM, NOT STRENGTHEN. IF DEEMED EXCESSIVE IT WILL BE REMOVED.
Car Building
1.This class is for FRONT WHEEL DRIVE CARS ONLY maximum of 113” wheelbase
2.Cars must remain stock unless specified in these rules
3.Aside from dash and front seats, interior must be stripped entirely. MUST remove air bags and the charges. Do not just set them off remove them.
4. Simple wiring harness allowed. Hard wiring factory fans are permitted. No oil coolers or tr**ny coolers. Factory tr**ny lines may be looped.
5. All doors may be wired or chained 8 spots per door max. IF WIRING YOU MAY WELD 1” HOLED WASHERS FOR WIRE TO RUN THROUGH. IF YOU PREFER TO WELD, YOU MAY HAVE (2) 4”X4” X ¼” MAX PLATES PER VERTICAL DOOR SEAM AND 1 PER TOP OF DOOR. CHOOSE ONE OPTION
The Driver's door may be welded solid. Or full door plate ¼ thick with 3’’ door seam overlap.
6.Deck lids may be wired or chained in 8 spots max. IF WIRING YOU MAY WELD 1” HOLED WASHERS FOR WIRE TO RUN THROUGH. You may tuck the trunk in 90 degrees. Wiring can go to the floor in the spare tire area but cannot wrap around the frame. Spots of wire or chain must be distinct 10 separate spots, no intertwining spots. IF YOU PREFER TO WELD YOU MAY HAVE 6 TOTAL 4”X4” X ¼” PLATES ON SEAMS TO SECURE TRUNK, CHOOSE ONE OPTIONS
7.Hood may be wired in 8 spots max. IF WIRING YOU MAY WELD 1” HOLED WASHERS FOR WIRE TO RUN THROUGH. Sheet metal of hood to sheet metal of fender only
8. Absolutely No creasing or wedging on rear of car
9. FRAME MAY BE SHORTENED TO THE FURTHERMOST FORWARD POINT OF CORE SUPPORT. CORE SUPPORT MAY NOT BE REMOVED OR REPOSITIONED. Do not push this. If running a honda please call for specific instructions on how to extend the frame for bumper mounting.
10. BUMPERS: A SMW light flat, A robinson, RUTZ 10 GAUGE, DEC equivalent are permitted( ALL OF THESE BUMPERS ARE TO REMAIN 10 GAUGE-1/8” AND ARE LIMITED TO A 3” POINT MAX. NO GUSSETS PERMITTED. As an alternative, any OEM bumper. May be seam welded, no loading
You may have a 6”x6” plate flat to the front of the frame for mounting purposes. you may not add shocks to a car that doesn’t come factory with bumper shocks. All cars that came with a bumper shock must keep the factory shock in the factory manner. 1 ( PER RAIL) 4” X 4” ¼” PLATE MAY BE USED ON THE TOP OR OUTSIDE WHEEL FACING FRAME TO ATTACH BUMPER TO FRAME. This 4×4 plate can only be attached to the unibody frame and the back of the bumper. This plate cannot in any fashion be attached to the subframe, k member etc
Front- 2 strands of double braided nine wire may go around the bumper one time and around core support. ONE LOOP. No criss-crossing of strands. Cannot go through the hood.
Rear- 2 strands of double braided nine wire may go around the rear bumper and then through the trunk lid. Where it goes through the trunk lid can be no further forward than half the trunk lid. No criss-crossing strands
11.You may have 2 spots of 9 wire in the windshield area or two 3” strapping roof to cowl
12.Battery may be moved to the inside of the car but does not have to be. It is STRONGLY recommended that if the battery is under the hood, it must be spray foamed in place. If moved to the cockpit of the car, no wood battery boxes must be secured tight and a steel battery box is recommended.
13.If gas tank is in front of rear axle, it is recommended that it be left in the factory position under the car
14.If the gas tank is moved from under the car it must be replaced with a METAL tank in the rear seat/rear floor board area. Tank must be mounted securely to the floor. You may not use ratchet straps to secure the tank. You may NOT mount a factory tank inside the car. Any fuel system we feel is unsafe will not be allowed to run.
15.Tires may be doubled and tubed any tire allowed no bead locks. Lip protectors are permitted. Nothing may be welded other than a 2″ lip protector max and a simple valve stem protector. Rear wheels only can be solid.
16. You may run a seat bar. No larger than 4″x4″, from B pillar to B pillar. If needed to accommodate drivers seat, you may use one 8″x12″1/4″ plate welded to each B pillar to weld bar to, so that seat may be slide back. If you prefer to have the gas tank suspended off the rear sea bar it is permitted but there must be at least 6” between rear sheet metal in packing tray and gas tank. No full gas tank protectors.
If you desire to run a simple 4 point cage you may but must not exceed 6” material and must remain 6” away from the floor. A shifter bar is permitted. Door bars may not exceed the rear kick panel.
17. Aftermarket shifters are permitted
18. headers are permitted
19. Spring risers are permitted
20. Any front or rear tires and wheels but no beadlocks.
CARS MUST REMAIN STOCK UNLESS STATED IN THESE RULES
ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL
ALL CARS FRESH OR PRE RUN GET (4) TOTAL 4″X4″ FIX IT PLATES. MUST BE ON SUBFRAME OR UNIBODY FRAME. 1/2″ BEAD OF WELD. PLATES MAY BE PARALLELOGRAM BUT MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS. ALL 4 SIDES MUST MEASURE 4″ LONG AND SIDE TO SIDE 4″ TOP TO BOTTOM 4″ AND THE TWO FURTHERMOST POINTS MUST MEASURE 7″.
