Thanks to all who joined us to celebrate 70 years of Godzilla! It was a wonderful evening watching a fantastic film - a fascinating insight into early special effects, an interesting debate on the moral responsibility of science and one heck of a monster 👹

💫Come along to three exciting screening!!!!! 💫
In the lead up to our festival next year (March 2025) we are running a series of screenings across the next few months in various venues around Scarborough.

Godzilla (1954, Dir. Ishiro Honda) 70th anniversary screening, Thursday 24th October, 7pm, Stephen Joseph Theatre

Foragers (2022, Dir. Jumana Manna) with sage tea and flatbreads, Tuesday 29th October, 6.30pm, all proceeds to Medical Aid for Palestine

Smoke Sauna Sisterhood (2023, Dir. Anna Hints) Sunday 3rd November, 6pm, &boot, scarborough.

Our call out for short films is open, the one category we currently have is Yorkshire Shorts, films made of any genre under 30mins made by someone with strong links to Yorkshire or surrounding area or filmed in the area.

We are excited to announce the new dates for the next edition of Scarborough Film Festival. They will be **20th-23rd March 2025** we are currently working hard putting together an exciting programme and will be running a series of autumn/winter lead up screenings.

Make sure to pop the dates in your diary! and do get in touch with any ideas or if you would like to partner with us this year at the festival. What would you like to see at the festival!?
