A wedding that’s truly one-of-a-kind — a perfect blend of modern industrial and refined elegance. This setup in Radisson Blu Cebu was a heartfelt collaboration with the groom Joseph González who handcrafted many of the decor pieces himself, including the bride’s ( Hannah) bouquet adorned with metal flowers. His passion for metal art became a central design element, adding a personal, creative touch to every detail. The result? A wedding that beautifully reflects their story, love, and individuality.

This was another experimental ceiling decor where we brought chiffon cloth to life, creating graceful waves with the help of 100 fans. It wasn’t easy—it required the right amount of wind from the fans to achieve just the right movement—not too strong, not too weak. The result? A stunning installation that embodied modern elegance. The design was unified across all elements, from the invitations and graphics to the cake, with the wave theme elevated by the dynamic motion of the ceiling fabrics. The lighting from Gapmobile Cebu also played a huge role, enhancing the entire setup and adding that extra magic to make the waves truly mesmerizing. A first for Work of Hans—something truly different and unique!

Inspired by the ethereal cloth draping used as ceiling décor, the cake features delicate, flowing fondant sails that mimic that graceful movement. It’s perfect for any event that celebrates beauty and elegance! I love how we always match our designs for a more cohesive reception feel.

Here’s a sneak peek of my setup for the bridal fair at Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino! We’ve incorporated modern elements and unique textures, breaking away from traditional wedding styling norms. Think minimalist yet luxurious, with elegant draping and statement bows. The mood lighting by Gilbert Go of Gapmobile Cebu sets the perfect tone, while calligraphy by Fair Bajan , welcome sign by Charm Macababes - Cabigon , tables and chairs by T&C Rental and Event Services add the final touches of elegance. I am so grateful to Jpark Island Resort & Waterpark. Cebu and their staff for giving us ample time to set up. Our team had a strict deadline because the priority was the comfort of the guests. With the help of the amazing JPark team with Jehd Ombos & Frances Angeli and team Tcarcel Events Planning, we met the deadline in flying colors and the guests were able to enter the venue early. Huge thanks as well to the couple James & Caitlin and the parents for their trust in me.For this particular set-up, there was a special request to include a lot of chandeliers. To minimize the brightness, I worked with the incredible team behind Gapmobile Cebu to control the lighting to maintain a sophisticated atmosphere. I also want to highlight the wired organza cloth we handcrafted into a wave structure floating above to emulate clouds just like in the wedding invitation. When Mother Nature cooperates, it’s always a relief. Outdoor weddings can be a gamble, but I’m so glad it paid off this time for James and Caitlyn’s chic garden ceremony, making it a dream come true. It’s always nice styling for friends and colleagues. This wedding was for my videographer friend who helped me with my videos during the pandemic. In return, I promised to help him with his wedding. The day came and it was pouring! But rain or shine, the wedding pushed through, of course, with the cityscape as their background. It added drama to the intimate and classy theme of modern/industrial with the color scheme of black and white. Congrats and best wishes to the newly weds!

The event I styled last night was a special one. It was an intimate birthday dinner for Ms. Bea Zobel de Ayala hosted by Ms. and the guests were super VVIP. I was honored to have been given the privilege to exercise my creative freedom with the help of the event organizer, . It was also a nice surprise that the flowers I used turned out to be the celebrant’s favorite flowers. My idol, Tita Teresin was also in attendance so extra pressure on me but everything turned out well! The trust a client gives me is always precious to me and it empowers me to go above and beyond.

There are super challenging mangunay moments in a stylist’s life and this is one of those. I cut by hand the fabric used for our ceiling works—literally work of Hans! As in nabuntagan ko just to achieve the bride’s vision of having layers of fabrics look like waves. The lack of sleep was so worth it knowing she loved it. Guided by the color scheme of dusty blue, cream, and white, we set up long tables with acrylic chairs and minimal flowers. It was clean and classy just like how she wanted it.

Styled another enchanting garden setup for a 16th birthday at Shangri-La Mactan! With the lower ceiling, the challenge was to create a lush, full look that complemented the LED wall without overshadowing it. We replaced the existing ballroom caroet with a green one and incorporated twigs, bagoons , fairy lights, butterflies, and colorful blooms to bring the vision to life. The birthday girl’s mom @marieaveloso was so hands-on and a joy to work with—grateful for her trust and kindness toward me and my team! #workofhans #hansified
