When SNAP benefits were threatened we temporarily added a pay what you can entree at our restaurant Ollie's Madison.

We fed over 400 meals during the last 3 months since we launched it. Thanks in large part to the support we have had from the community we are now permanently adding an entire Pay-What- You-Can section to our menu.

No one should worry where their next meal for their family should come from. I know my family had struggled with food insecurity, and I know so may of us have too. Sometimes just between paychecks we worry about how to feed not only ourselves, but our family as well.

So here it is. Our menu for everyone. No prices listed, and when you order this meal, the server will hand you a tablet to put in whatever price you can afford. No judgement, no questioning, no worries.

We love you all, and all are welcome here. Come eat food, share in community, and take care of yourself and your family. ❤️

This community is amazing!!!

A huge thank you to everyone helping to pull off this delicious and amazing thanksgiving for all!!! It is absolutely not just about one restaurant, or one person. It is so many people coming together on a day to help others!

So far over 30 people have signed up to help serve, cook, and deliver meals to families, as well as all of the volunteers planning this wonderful event.

We also have some AMAZING donations from businesses in the community!

Gallant Knight Limousine is donating transportation for any families that need it. Stella's Bakery is donating pumpkin pies for everyone! Duck Donuts is donating donuts for everyone, Texas Roadhouse is donating buns and cinnamon butter.

We even have some amazing chefs, and friends donating specialty items. Daniel Bonanno and Alimentari is donating a delicious sourdough stuffing, Adam Struebing and The Madison Club are donating amazing roasted vegetables.

Thank you everyone! We also still have room for families and guests to eat this amazing spread at our restaurant! You don’t need to pay anything, and you don’t need to prove anything. Just need to want a delicious made from scratch meal to celebrate with those you love on thanksgiving.

Here is what we are serving:

Turkey
Maple glazed carrots
Roasted vegetables
Warm rolls
Sourdough stuffing
Cranberry sauce
Mac and cheese
Mashed potatoes

Thanksgiving this year is going to be different for a lot of people. Food that they look forward to has been priced out of what they can afford, jobs were furloughed, and rents are up. The demand on food pantries has more than tripled, and it looks like it is going to get worse before it gets better.

So what can we do about it. We are pairing up with a bunch of volunteers, community support groups, and businesses to try to help!

On thanksgiving we are going to be opening our restaurants, but not to paying guests. We are going to give our staff the day off, and we are going to open the restaurant with volunteers, and our goal is to serve over 300 individuals and families a delicious, made from scratch meal onsite, as well as deliver over 100 meals out to those that cant visit.

Greater Madison Resource Community- Resources, Referral & Assistance Group, and Project Babies are helping coordinate getting families here and helping distribute meals to families that have transportation or mobility issues.

We also have a whole team of volunteers working on making this happen! If you want to help in any way, or if you know a family in need just follow the website listed below in the flier and follow the links!

We couldn't do this without the support of so many people!!!!!

We have had a lot of questions about our 20% service charge since we enacted for all of our businesses, so we thought we would put this together for our guests and clients to read about not just what our policy is, but why we chose this policy to begin with!

Please feel free to ask any other questions you might have, and we will address them or add to this document.

These documents are also available on our website for you to read as well. Thanks so much for helping make sure our staff are taken care of, so that they can take care of you! 💙

Celebrations of life are always tricky. Sharing memories brings so much joy, but also brings up so much grief of not being able to relive those moments again.

This past weekend we worked with an amazing family celebrating the life of their mother and wife who passed too early from cancer.

Talking with them about all of the things that she was, and what she loved we were inspired to help everyone who came to that celebration get to know her even better.

We created a grazing board with all of her favorite things. From macadamia nuts, to Gruyère cheese, to olives and roasted zucchini. All her favorite snacks on display for people to taste.

We also had a station filled with food inspired by her life on the west coast with smoked salmon, warm crab dip and more.

We also had a station that celebrated her life in Wisconsin with her favorite comfort foods like loaded mashed potatoes and fresh cheese curds from none other than her favorites from Farmerjohn John Dougherty.

It was a beautiful afternoon, and we feel honored to have been included in celebrating her memory.

This has been so fun coming up with different menus every month working with local farms for St Charles Station!

As winter is coming, we are switching our monthly features to be ingredients over individual farmer. This month (starting tonight) we are featuring CRANBERRIES!!!

Wisconsin grows 60% of all cranberries grown in the US, and all of our cranberries are 100% Wisconsin grown.

Come on out to try it! Future features in upcoming months will be Cheese, local meat, hoop house growing and more!

So thankful for my amazing kitchen for helping put together these amazing meals!

It has been a heck of a crazy couple of months. We have had so many amazing catering events, weddings, the flood, rebuilding the restaurants, and re-launching St Charles Station.

So many businesses post that their employees are family, but at our restaurant it is a true story! Our restaurants are literally made up of a majority of three families!

First, the obvious, the restaurants are named after them. Ollie serves and hosts, Charlie helps me with projects there, Tiffany is our event manager (as well as a Dave manager). Johnny helps keep us young (and old at the same time). My Dad helps with anything tech related and my mom helps with picking the garden and more, and then of course there is me!

In the Front of house my general manager Misha works with her cousin, her brother's girlfriend, and two of her best friends. Her grandmother does the gardening, her dad and one of her brothers helped out with the construction, and help with fix it projects. Her Fiancé and his brother help in the back of house.

In the Back of house I also have my Kitchen Manager Juan, and working with him are his mother, brother, one of his sisters, his uncle and his aunt.

We love all of our staff, but knowing that our team trusts in us to bring their whole friend and family network to come work with us too means the world to me. We do have additional staff that are actually not in any way related to these families, and we want to celebrate them and give them a break as well.

We want our family and all of our staff to be able to go take advantage of this amazing summer with their kids off of school. Normally this is almost impossible, because the restaurant struggles to operate missing any of these family groups, so this year we have decided to close both of the restaurants and our catering for a whole week! It is the only way we can let them all have time together!

Happy 4th of July week everyone! We will be back, rested and ready to serve you again when we resume service on Tuesday 7/9!
