Have spent an enjoyable hour this morning remembering this utter Monster from 1990. This links in from a current online quest to find Geoff Hibbert aka Rhythm on The Loose (Break of Dawn) & Cyclone, producer of the fabled Bleep issue 'A Place Called Bliss'. Ability II is (in my knowledge) the only known release from a guy called 'David Duncan' originally from Leicester before relocating to Leeds in and around the mid 80's. Given his documented knowledge of the 'Leicester Massives', it's clear that the influence of the Soul and Electro all-dayers led into the Acid House scene via Chicago House and what was being played by the Grandmasters Classic Groove, Chris Popple etc at that time. The Dub version of this drawing influence of David's time growing up in Leicester's Caribbean Community and Frontline. Thanks to the wonderful Al Green (Beef) for bringing this post into being.
