Last week I officiated for Scott and Amy and it was such a special day in my very own backyard where I got married myself.

Scott and Amy booked me last year for their wedding in an entirely different setting, but circumstances changed and I’m so incredibly happy to have still been able to officiate for them. In an intimate setting, they were surrounded by their nearest and dearest as we celebrated the all things Scott and Amy.

11•5•24 - Nicole and Lewis surprised all their guests on Saturday by getting married at their engagement party, I absolutely loved being in on the secret. 💕

They had a relaxed ceremony on the “very well mown” lawn outside their house then headed up the road to my family farm for photos. You two are a match made in heaven and I was so grateful to be part of your special day!

Have you thought about doing a unity ceremony within your wedding ceremony?

Jenna and Alex decided to go with the wine box unity symbol as they both enjoy a good drop of wine. Not only this though Alex is a builder and so hammering nails into something during the ceremony just made sense!

The wine box was absolutely stunning, handmade by Alex. Before their ceremony they got all their guests to write a note to them to open on their anniversaries .

I often offer the option for the groom to face away from the bride until she is in full sight coming down the aisle.

I do this for a few reasons:
✨ the photographer can catch the moment the groom first sees the bride
✨ it gives the groom a moment to breathe before the ceremony and collect his thoughts
✨ it means the groom doesn’t have to watch the bride fluffing about, he gets the perfect view first time. Also at a lot of venues the bride has to walk around trees etc to get to the aisle
✨ it builds suspense

I absolutely adored this wedding and this couple. When I sat down to plan their ceremony with them they told me they not only wanted to have fun but they wanted it to mean something. They also wanted to soak up all of the little moments. You certainly ticked all of these boxes you two, Olivia your walk down the aisle still gives me shivers and tears in my eyes.

I loved working with these two. Seanna and Richard (probably Seanna) absolutely nailed the details for their special day, it was stunning right down to every last dried flower, handmade sign and teepee.

Seanna was adamant she wanted a sunset photo shoot and I can see why… they turned out perfect!
