🏆 Introducing your 2024 Underclassman Award Winner Landon Crosier of Steubenville signifying the top FR/SO of the season!

Crosier was one of the leading tacklers for Big Red as a sophomore totaling 121 tackles, 10 TFLs, 4 sacks, 2 interceptions, 2 fumble recoveries, and two defensive touchdowns.

🏆 Introducing your 2024 Jobko Award Winner Zach Putnam of Conotton Valley signifying the top small school player (D7/1A) of the season!

Putnam led the Rockets to their first two playoff victories in school history while throwing for 3,300 yards and 40 touchdowns and adding 200 yards and 8 touchdowns on the ground. He also totaled 103 tackles, 14 TFLs, and 4 interceptions on defense.

The Jobko Award is named after ‘53 Bridgeport High grad Bill Jobko who was a 3 sport standout for the Bulldogs. He would play OG & LB for Ohio State after high school where he won 2 National Championships. He was drafted by the L.A. Rams & played 8 seasons in the NFL.

🏆 Introducing your 2024 Howley Award Winner Zeb Kinsey of Toronto signifying the top two-way player of the season!

Kinsey threw for 2,300 yards and 23 touchdowns and led the Red Knights in rushing with 833 yards and 12 scores while totaling 61 tackles, 5 TFLs and an interception on defense.

The Howley Award is named after ‘54 Warwood High grad Chuck Howley. He lettered in 5 sports at WVU where he played guard, center and LB while earning All-Conference 3 times. He was selected in the 1st round by the Chicago Bears. He is a Super Bowl MVP, 6x All-Pro, 6x Pro-Bowler and recently inducted into the Pro Football HOF.

The WVU commit is perfect on PATs going 43/43, has 36 touchbacks on kickoffs, a field goal best of 48 yards, and is averaging over 38 yards per punt this year.

The Groza Award is named after ‘42 Martins Ferry grad Lou “The Toe’ Groza who would attend Ohio State after high school. He signed with the Cleveland Browns after joining the Army where he played professionally for 21 seasons. He is the most decorated OV athlete of all time.

🏆 Introducing your 2024 Jeter Award Winner Brody Saccoccia of Steubenville signifying the top DB of the season!

Saccoccia was named D3 East District Defensive Player of the Year while posting 126 tackles, 3 ints, 5 PBU, and 1 TD.

The Jeter Award is named after ‘56 Weir grad Bob Jeter who became the first black athlete to be recognized as WV All-State in football before attending Iowa. He would play in the CFL & NFL where he was a 5x champion, All-Pro, & Pro Bowler. He is in the Green Bay Packers HOF.

🏆 Introducing your 2024 Mehl Award Winner Jameson Maynard of Wheeling Park signifying the top LB of the season!

Maynard has totaled 127 tackles including 107 solo stops, 17 TFLs and 3 interceptions so far this season.

The Mehl Award is named after ‘76 All-Ohio Bellaire grad Lance Mehl who would go on to play for Penn State where he was named an All-American. After college he was drafted in the 3rd round by the NY Jets where he played for 9 years. He was a Pro Bowler & All-Pro in ‘85.

Reese was named D5 East District Tri-Defensive player of the Year and totaled 91, tackles, 29 TFLs, 16 sacks, and a pick 6.

The Wolfe Award is named after ‘08 Beaver Local grad Derek Wolfe who went on to have a great career at the University of Cincinnati before being selected by the Denver Broncos in the 2nd round of the NFL Draft. He won Super Bowl 50 as a member of the Broncos & played 10 seasons.

🏆 Introducing your 2024 Drummond Award Winner Dre Saunders of Union Local signifying the top playmaker of the season!

Big Play Dre was electric for the Jets in all three phases this season totaling 787 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns, picking off 4 passes, and posting over 500 return yards and 3 touchdowns

The Drummond Award is named after ‘98 Linsly grad Eddie Drummond who had 70 TD’s and scored 424 points in his prep career. He signed with Penn State after high school and was then a Pro-Bowler & All-Pro as a kick returner for the Detroit Lions and played five seasons in the NFL.

The D1 prospect was named D5 First Team All-District and MVL Lineman of the Year. George totaled 54 pancakes and allowed zero sacks in 451 drop backs.

The Lamone Award is named after ‘51 Wellsburg High grad Gene “Beef” Lamone who became a Captain and All-American at West Virginia University as an Offensive Guard. He was drafted by the Eagles in the 5th round and played 3 seasons in the NFL with the Eagles and Browns.

Marchbank led the Red Knights in receptions and touchdowns catching 52 passes for 910 yards and 12 touchdowns.

The Hinkle Award is named after 1927 Toronto High graduate Clarke Hinkle who was Mr. Football in Ohio and an All-American at Bucknell University as a FB/LB. He then had a prolific career with the Green Bay Packers where he was a 7x All-Pro and a member of the Pro Football HOF.

The Galloway Award is named after former ‘90 Bellaire WR Joey Galloway who went on to have a record breaking collegiate career at Ohio State before being a top 10 pick in the NFL where he had a prolific 16 year career.

Wack moved to RB this season and has rushed for nearly 2,000 yards and 26 touchdowns through 11 games. The junior also set the single game school record for rushing.

The Wilson Award is named after former ‘99 Weir star RB Quincy Wilson who had a prolific high school career before attending West Virginia University which led him to being drafted into the NFL where he played for 4 years for the Falcons and Bengals.

🏆 Introducing your 2024 Collaros Award Winner Aiden Davis of Steubenville signifying the top QB of the season!

Davis led the Steubenville Big Red to the D3 Region 11 Final totaling 2,500 yards of offense and 26 touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.

The Collaros Award is named after former Steubenville Big Red (‘07) standout QB Zach Collaros who went on to have a stellar career at the University of Cincinnati before enjoying a long and very successful career in the CFL where he is still currently playing.
