Someone in the Facebook group got this info. Pirate night will be the wedding night and the kids can do the Halloween activities on Castaway Day. I just hope trick or treating will be after dinner cause we’ll all be on the beach all day

The water slide on the Wish is called the AquaMouse. I hear lines can get long ( I imagine just like the Disney Dream and Fantasy slides). Here’s a tip. Pack your suit in your carryon or wear it under your clothes. Disney provides towels. When you board on Friday, head over for a ride before you head to lunch! P.S. I hear the movies are hard to see because water splashes in your face.

The last restaurant in our rotation is 1923, named after the year Walt Disney Studios started. Some people dress up 'flapper style' for this one. I'm not sure the kids will be impressed. Hopefully the menu choices will make up for the lack of entertainment for them. I think the adults in the group will be happy here.

Dining....It will be a short cruise jampacked with so many activities, but best of all (in my opinion) is the dining. I haven't been on the Wish before, but I do know that you'll be assigned a different dining room each night with the same table number and the waitstaff rotates with you. So, if you start off the first night in Arendelle : A Frozen Dining Adventure (pictured here), the next night you'll go to 1923 or Worlds of Marvel but your servers will be the same so if your little one ordered a cherry coke with 12 cherries the first night, it will be waiting for them at the table the next night

Let's talk HAIR! If you know me, you know, I have NO talent for doing my hair.
I'm filling in the wedding paperwork and I have to let them know (by August) if I want a visit to the salon and how many appointments I would like. In case anyone wants to come get their hair done too.
Now, here's the problem....I have heard nothing but bad to so so reviews. I really don't mind spending $85 to get my hair curled and put up BUT I've heard the salon uses any of the gals available. So, I might get the masseuse, manicurist, or receptionist.
Any suggestions?? Or guinea pigs who want to go first? lol.

I just posted a blog with check in info. I spoke to Mark Kechula. ( our Travel Agent).
Everyone needs to set up their own Disney Cruise Line account ( I’ll make sure you all have your reservation numbers). You’ll need take photos of your passports and headshots to have ready ahead of time.
Check in starts at midnight 30 days ahead of time!!
Here’s the important part. You get to select a PAT ( port arrival time). Pick the earliest one available.
Thomas Capizzi and I will send a bus to the hotel to pick everyone up together. That means you all have to go at the same time. You can go later but not earlier than your PAT so whoever gets the latest PAT dictates the time the whole group can go.
Example: Andrea Delessio-Branco gets online at midnight and has all her information and photos available and gets an 11 am PAT. But Kerry Delessio is sleeping at midnight and doesn’t have Carmen’s headshot available so she waits till he gets home from work and finally gets checked in 18 hours later and ends up with a 3:00 PAT, then the whole group has to arrive for that 3:00 PAT because you can show up later but not earlier.
Good luck everyone

If you're going on a Disney Cruise Line sailing, you'll be checking in for your cruise online. Here's everything you need to know about the process. When do I check in? Check-in becomes available at midnight Eastern Time, 30 days prior to your cruise. You're not required to check in at that exact

What’s everyone wearing to the wedding?

Here’s my request. Nothing fancy!! Sundresses for the girls/ladies and nice shorts with a collared shirt for the boys/men. Dante has announced he’s wearing a pink tie! So cute.
So linen shirts, tropical shirts, polo shirts. No suits. Tom will be wearing a suit though. We’ll do pictures but I’m not going to color coordinate everyone.
Go through your closets. The ceremony/wedding is only about an hour so it would be foolish to make you buy an outfit that you’ll never wear again just for an hour. And who wants to pack a suit or fancy dress for a cruise. No one!

Here’s the onboard wine/ beer policy Carol talked about. Just make sure it’s in you carry-on and NOT in your suitcase that gets checked upon arrival. Everyone with a verandah will appreciate a glass of wine in the evening with a free cheese plate from room service.

26/02/2023

I almost forgot to mention that there is FREE room service! You just have to tip. ( some things you pay for like canned soda). We ordered a dozen chocolate chip cookies one time and didn’t realize how big they were and had cookies for a week.

Day 2. Nassau/ wedding day. When you get up the first morning we’ll be ready to dock at Nassau. You can leave the ship from 9:30 - 5:15. The wedding should be at 1:00 so keep that in mind in case you want to do things on the ship in the morning and head ashore afterwards. ( I hear weddings take about an hour so you should have 3 hours to go ashore, get some drinks, or souvenir shop.) I have a picture of some activities that might be available onboard. Obviously these will change especially since the wedding will be at 1:00 in the Bayou so no movie trivia in there at the same time…. I hope… lol.
I have heard that the Incredible Incredi-course is tons of fun and only available on Nassau day so you should check that out especially if you have kids, but there’s no age limit.
To be honest, those of you with kids might want to stay onboard all day. I’ve been ashore with kids and it’s kinda scary for them with all the vendors approaching them.

Since we have a lot of first-time- cruisers coming with us, let's talk about boarding the Wish. IF you are PIF (paid-in-full), you can check in online 30 days before the cruise. I believe that is Sept 20 at midnight? (I'll double check that). They'll ask you your ID information and on the last page you should be able to pick a PAT (port arrival time). Pick the earliest one available. Then as a group the next day, we'll see whoever has the latest time and that's when Tom and I will have the bus come get you at HOME2 because you can arrive later but not earlier than your PAT.
Now for the fun part. After you drop off your bags, check in, and go through security and all that "stuff" at the port, you'll get a boarding group number. You hang out till they call your number. It goes fast.
When you are ready to board a crew member will ask you your family name. SO if you're not married get prepared now. Tom and I are announced as the Smitten Family (cause he's smitten with me). You can do Disney Characters or groups or themes and even if you do have the same name, you can still change it for fun.
As you step on board, they use a microphone and announce your family. Get ready to video tape it, cause it's cool.
I'm pretty sure Tom and I board early to meet with the wedding coordinator. If we are finished with our meeting, we'll be in the atrium to video everyone getting announced.
Once on board, you're on your own for a few hours before muster. Explore the ship, find out which of the restaurants are open for lunch and enjoy a sit-down lunch, or head to the self-serve restaurant (we like the sit down), after lunch find the free-soft -serve ice cream machine even if you had dessert! and the flavors change each day.
You are usually allowed in your rooms around 1:00 so you can unpack and get settled. and head to the pools (or bars). Drinks of the day are usually reasonably priced, and they change each day.
Around 4:00 they will have muster so you have to meet at whatever station is on your Key Card. MAKE SURE YOU SHOW UP...Gail... because no one can leave till everyone gets there and they will go find you.
We are at first seating for dinner. We go to a different restaurant each night but the wait-staff follows us. I'll talk more about each restaurant later.

Here's a question: Do we want Mickey and Minnie to come to our wedding? And do we care how much extra that cost?

IF you're flying into Orlando on October 19th from Philly, people in our group are booked on AMERICAN AIRLINES flight AA2531 in rows 21,22, and 23. That flight lands at 5:45. Tom and I will have a bus pick everyone up around 6:30 (when the Boston group lands). So you can grab dinner at the airport and then hop on the bus for the ride to the hotel.
Return flights are Monday Oct 23rd. Looks like everyone's flights take off around the 3:00 time. AMERICAN AIRLINES FLIGHT AA2095 is the Philly group.
We are thinking (since the ship makes us depart early) that we will put everyone's luggage in our car and then uber everyone to the Cocoa Beach Pier to relax a few hours and then have a bus pick everyone up for the trip back to the airport around noon.

Since more than 1 person has asked, let’s talk passports. This is from the Disney Cruise page.
So, although technically you do not need a passport, it is recommended.
For instance, Gail gets off the ship in Nassau and is sipping her 5th margarita at Senior Frogs when she notices a ship off in the distance that looks like the Disney Wish. Well, chances are it is the Wish and she has missed the all-aboard time. She will need her passport to fly back to the states ( as well as cash since Disney is not paying for it).
Or if Danny is swimming at Castaway Cay and sees a shark on the other side of the bulkhead and decides he wants to touch it so climbs over and sadly finds out the 🦈 is not friendly. He’ll most likely need not only a passport but the extra trip insurance. 🌴🚢🍸🍹

Went to the port today and checked out hotels for October 19th. We liked Home2Suites by Hilton Cape Canaveral Cruise Port. If you book there, we’ll provide transportation to the Disney Wish in the 20th. It has a nice pool and more importantly, it has a pool bar!
