Camellia trees lined my Nan and Pop's driveway and for the longest time, they seemed enormous, tree houses to play in where we would sit in the branches and think up all sorts of wonderful things. The rose gardens behind the brick fence where lizards would run from our endless attempts at catching them and the unmistakable scent of the pretty white alyssum flowers still bring me back to times of Christmas' under the carport with sprinklers on the roof in an attempt to cool the heat.
At Grandma and Granddad's where ice cream was often for dinner. Rectangle raised garden beds sat in the backyard, filled with all sorts of flowers and strawberries and we would ride our bikes around and around in the sun while Grandma would hang the washing on the old hills hoist. My earliest memories introduced my love for flowers and as an inspiration for Parker and Bovey flowers. Named after my Nan and Grandma and the little moments I’ll always thank them for.
