It has been great to welcome clothes swappers from Alfaz and Albir over to the Daadi shop in Jalon. We are growing our movement and the support has been amazing even with the heat to deal with. Our customer base is widening and I’m happy to say it is coming from all nationalities. We are doing an event in Alfaz so please help us share to people living in this area.

So excited to be doing this event. It is our Tenth one so you could say on average we have managed to stop over 5000 items of clothing going to Landfill but who’s counting

One event we are really excited about for this year is the Daadi Halloween Fashion show. This year it will take place on Friday 18th October at the DAR Community Centre The aim is to bring you some spectacular ideas for Halloween dressing before you go running down to a local cheap store, for a poorly made import. Our plan is to inspire you and to get you thinking Spooky Scary and Creatively. After the show you will be able to purchase or hire any of the outfits in time for your Halloween party on 31st October.

Our Daadi team have already started to see what ideas they can come up with from all of our pre,loved clothes. However this is a labour intensive event so we are looking for more pople to lend a hand. Can you sew a bit or knit. Some things you can create at home. You can also get involved in designing. Lauren will also run a halloween makeup training course for any people who want to join in with making up models. Yes we need more models. Also looking for people who can help with lighting our show. Elena from Footworks in Javea has offered her support with dancers and choreography. It is a fun fundraiser this and will need positive energy. The girls from Dressed or Naked in Denia have offered their support and will be showing some of their wonderful creations perfect for Halloween.

Restaurants and bars. If you are planning to hold a Halloween event this year, for a small or big donation we will feature you on the event pages and publicity so please stay tuned and watch this space. All enquiries call Lauren on 665012228 or call into the Daadi shop in Jalon for a chat.

Because you can collect your pre-loved clothes in something other than a bin bag. Your clothes are not rubbish and will not be thrown away.

This is a date for your diary. Daadi is happy to announce we are coming to Alfaz del Pi. Saturday 7th September. Look out for details in the next few days, you are going to love this venue.

One of the reasons we want to encourage parents to start swapping kids clothes instead of filling their closets with cheap imported clothes bought online. The de-minimilis rule of anything valued under 150€ allows items to arrive in EU un regulated.

The fast fashion giant will need to adhere to unique transparency rules and demonstrate consumer protection measures.

Halloween show, I love the planning stages. So we have two and a half months to pull this show together and build an action team. Our minds are blowing with some crazy ideas. I have a big sheet of paper and the pen has bubble and trouble ink. So out of my craft ladies, who would like to attempt to crochet this witches hat. We have the wool, all we need are your nimble fingers.

Delighted to announce we have started our selection of kids clothes and they have their own room. We know kids can be expensive to dress so start swapping with us. Think how much you can get into a Daadi bag. We will also take school uniforms if they are current.

Looking forward to today, sharing some creative time with some special ladies cutting the crap to make some rag rugs. I must admit the pile has been building and hopefully today we shall be able to reduce some unwanted items and turn them into something super special. It’s not too late to join us, we have space.
