What is your go to mantra?
One of mine is
Two years ago, I was encouraged to start singing. I have always loved singing, but in the car, in the house, in the shower, the places where no one could see me.
I have always had respect for performers; the effort, skill, confidence, fitness needed to get up on stage and sing, dance or act through a show is admirable and not everyone can do it.
I was one of those - I went backstage to work because I couldn’t be on stage. But I loved every aspect of the and that was the way to be a part of it.
Roll on two years, and through the right people, encouraging me, at the right time, in the right environment I have stepped out my , battled and looking at the last two years have performed at in 2023 and 2024, performed in Beyond Broadway locally, and joined a mums and we have now gigged live about 6 times.
I have rediscovered my after years of trauma, started to smile again, love life, love being around and and for those out there struggling with just wanted to say and you too can find this .
will be a part of your journey, but finding the right people who get you, support you and encourage you is paramount to getting through the dark days.
helps so many people. Honestly I cannot believe how far I have come in two years when the last 7 years has been a battle to get through a day.
