I will be eternally grateful for so much support from friends, family, local food banks, who helped save my beautiful daughter and I from going under during the most horrific time in life where the fight to keep going daily fighting creditors, bankruptcy, legal threats, homelessness, bullying, abuse, pushed me to nearly take my life.

This is for you Dad and I will never forget the hurt, pain and trauma put on you as you too were nearly made homeless in your 80’s through no fault if your own and the sacrifices you had to make just for us all to have a roof over our heads.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all those who saved us and thank you to for the support, belief, and encouragement to make people aware of how any of us are one minute away from life changing actions that bring your world crashing down.

No matter where you are on your journey, and to those out there struggling, no matter how dark it gets, please find the tiny bit of light to keep going and hold on to HOPE that a miracle will happen to keep you alive and safe.

Find those that lift you up, have your back, wrap their arms round you and help push you forward.

To all the amazing finalists GOOD LUCK 🫶

As parents of young musicians, the adults are excited, but imagine being in a band when you are 14, 15, 16 and getting to perform at the incredible ‼️

The band formed at a workshop two years ago celebrating where they wrote their first song over a weekend.

Within a few months they supported with a three song - two

With their focus on writing their own music they have joined in the girls can workshops over the last 12 months, as well as music lessons and fantastic tutoring in .

Four original songs were recorded in October 2024, and engineered and mastered by Kurt ready for release in 2025.

Dead Sheep’s first release on 11 February 2025 ‘Mansplaining’ has everyone tapping their feet but was written for International Women’s Day as a way to celebrate female voices and to rebel against the patriarchy.

The concept of the song was first conceived at More Music in Morecambe, Lancashire during their “Girls Can” weekend, which is dedicated to championing women to create a more equal music industry.

In the lyrics of the song, there are lots of phrases used by men to patronise women that have been turned on their heads to be uplifting and empowering instead. The upbeat melody represents female gender stereotypes, whilst the defiant lyrics illustrate the depth of feelings surrounding equality.

The overall message of Mansplaining is to inspire women and girls to stand up for what they believe in and make sure their voices are heard.

Check out the band when you visit and before then give them a follow .band download their new song - as adults looking in we are in awe at what this band are creating and writing, as well as creating a movement to show others that you can get up on stage, with your friends, be seen, be heard and as from Loose Articles said ‘there is nothing better than enjoying a J20 with your mates!’

What a night!

A planned with 20 of us meeting up to watch - a night we couldn’t miss because all of us in our group are huge and given that 18 out of our group of 20 are musicians, we all knew what a special night it would be, getting the adults and children together.

The popularity of this wonderful theatre is growing, with a huge variety of entertainment on offer. Having a live band there tonight shows the versatility of this wonderful which brings the plays, and more to the local community. Now with live music tours coming to the venue, if you are local you really need to buy a ticket and come and enjoy a night of being entertained.

Absolution tonight were just brilliant. Watched by a front row of young talented musicians - 2 drummers, 2 keyboard players, 3 guitarists, 4 singers, age 10-16 who are also in bands, it was a fabulous night where the younger ones could enjoy and experience live music without being asked to leave by 9pm - many small venues have issues with Licencing for anyone under 16 so if you try and watch live music, and your children also want to watch bands, they often miss the main sets because of the 9pm curfew.

All the parents are incredibly proud watching the younger ones loving the night out, enjoying quality musicianship, and sometimes tapping air drumming or air guitaring along knowing the

We all had a great night out, and more importantly were able to support our and show our children that they can have careers in bands, and get to play shows like this.

If you are a band on the circuit looking for the perfect venue to perform in, with great ticketing system, lighting design, audio production, decent size auditorium, check this out!

There are people in your life who really know you well. They know the little things that make you smile.

What is your go to mantra?

One of mine is

Two years ago, I was encouraged to start singing. I have always loved singing, but in the car, in the house, in the shower, the places where no one could see me.

I have always had respect for performers; the effort, skill, confidence, fitness needed to get up on stage and sing, dance or act through a show is admirable and not everyone can do it.

I was one of those - I went backstage to work because I couldn’t be on stage. But I loved every aspect of the and that was the way to be a part of it.

Roll on two years, and through the right people, encouraging me, at the right time, in the right environment I have stepped out my , battled and looking at the last two years have performed at in 2023 and 2024, performed in Beyond Broadway locally, and joined a mums and we have now gigged live about 6 times.

I have rediscovered my after years of trauma, started to smile again, love life, love being around and and for those out there struggling with just wanted to say and you too can find this .

will be a part of your journey, but finding the right people who get you, support you and encourage you is paramount to getting through the dark days.

helps so many people. Honestly I cannot believe how far I have come in two years when the last 7 years has been a battle to get through a day.

Wherever you are in your recovery, keep going, battle through, find the thing that helps you smile, start small, little moments, each day, listen to your body, your mind, and take it

Huge to who are spending hours rehearsing to learn all the songs for the where the huge cast will be performing 30 January - 1 February 2025.

Being part of a pit band for a theatre show is an incredible opportunity and experience for any musician but when you are 14 and 15 years old it is even more special as these opportunities don’t come up very often.

There are so many songs to learn, and many are songs they won’t have heard or played due to their young ages.

A big to Steve and Jon who are helping these smash through the songs. The band sounds incredible.

is on drums with her beautiful with her choice being for .official on and is on - already in their own right they’ve jumped on the opportunity to be part of this fab team, entertaining the cast and the audiences who will attend the show! They have all performed on stage in many shows including at with so they all know the venue well, how things work on and off stage, and are a true credit to everyone who have supported their musical journeys so far.

Brilliant night visiting to watch performing thanks to magazine as we won tickets in their competition so an unplanned night out.

Happy memories flooding back listening to so many well known songs, of younger days, enjoying life and the music, dancing and singing.

I’d forgotten how good the songs were and found myself singing along to so many, and despite low ticket sales, which was sad to see, all those who had ventured out were true fans.

Well done guys for keeping us tapping our feet tonight, when it must be a challenge to see empty seats, but the theatre was filled with love of fans that have followed the journey.

Good luck with the new song and we really enjoyed ourselves.

Never forget your journey….

The good ⭐️

The bad ❌

The Ugly 💀

Always find the in every day, every moment.

Fill your cup with love of family and friends, the ones who have your back, who lift you up, who encourage you, who are there always no matter what, the ones who you can laugh and cry with, who watch over you like angels - the ones you can call at 3am and say I need you, and the ones who will go the extra mile for you where there are no financial incentives.

December stars are planning an EP launch, researching, digesting, manifesting, excited, nervous, keen, eager, reading over and over to check the small print.

A feeling like no other when a band have songs ready to launch.

What better way to spend a festive month, where stars shine, lights are sparkling, the feeling of love is all around.

Here’s hoping that these young future stars have all the success in the world!

The ❤️

purchased as a for my daughter 🎸

We’ve listened to the band so much this year but missed seeing them at Leeds Festival due to high winds and storms causing sets to be cancelled. 😞

Out of all the bands and we have seen this year, this has to be our No1 - cannot wait to see Crawlers headlining a stadium gig - their energy, songwriting, musicianship is off the scale and totally on parr with Foo Fighers, Green Day and so many stadium bands out there. 🤘🏻

This was the cheapest ticket we have bought, but the best show, high energy and in touch with audience show we have ever been to. ✔️

Any out there, these are the ones to get headlining! ⭐️

So humbled being part of the - just a beautiful intimate - if all bands did this for their fans the world would be a better place 🫶

Thank you all for tonight Holly, Olivia, Amy and Harry. Just answering a question from a young musician means more than you will ever know. And just like you did at 16 wanting to play my 15 year old now has these dreams too as she gets ready to release music with .band and eagerly awaits Christmas Day to get the second item she wants to keep creating music with

This is so so important but it will only work if every in the Uk is supported to keep their doors open, staff paid, overheads covered

There are so many small music venues out there struggling with owners not paid, barely making enough profit on the drinks they sell to cover all the overheads.

Without these amazing spaces so many young and up and coming bands and solo artists will not have a space to perform and get themselves known on the circuit.

Support the venues in your towns that put on - they really need your support more than ever.

For every music school giving lessons, explain to students how important it is, especially if one day they want to perform. Grassroots music starts with music lessons for many young people and these young ones are the future of the and

Without gigs, the supply chain stops. All those working in rely on the music industry and theatre for work - staging, sound, lighting, rigging, production managers, video, trucking, catering, and more….. not to mention hotels, vending, food and beverages, tourism, CAN YOU NOW SEE THE BIGGER PICTURE.

How many of us have friends and family relying on this income to pay their mortgaes, bills and keep their families fed.

From the top of the chain down, the huge corporations earning mega bucks need to do more!

I never ever want to tell my daughter or the kids we know in local bands who want careers that they can’t perform because our local venues have had to close the doors. Imagine a parent paying for music lessons for years but then there is nowhere to perform!!! The ecosystem in music is huge and we all have to fight for it!
