Hey hey! So my event today was canceled due work being done at the event location. With that said that wraps up 2024 for me! I've learned a lot with all my failures and success! Time to take all that and make 2025 bigger and better! I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and I'll pop up with items for a closeout year sale soon!

So I'm just reflecting on everything.....September 2022 I started my business but didn't do anything with it seriously until October 23, 2023. On this date was when I was let go of my 9 to 5 that I was with for going on 6 years. I told God that I wasn't going to leave unless He moved me away from the company. I guess I got my answer on June 2023 when they stated that I would be let go. With October 23, 2023 being my final day, I went ahead and started to dabble in Etsy (which wasn't a good fit for me). I started trying other options, and I knew something would eventually stick.
I did a vision board at the beginning of the year, and I set goals for myself. I did a couple of events for people, and then I started to do vendor events starting February 2024. I knew that I had to start somewhere to be able to get to my overall goal (which is still in process), and knew that it was going to be challenging.
I was so use to a consistent check every two weeks that when it was time for me to make the check for myself I got discouraged (still do sometimes) that I was truly making the wrong decision. I've been told that it takes a couple of years to be able to get it together. It wasn't until lately that I felt like I may have an inkling of getting it together.
Why for this long post? I guess it really is for me to let myself know that just because you aren't seeing the results at the current moment doesn't mean that the people around you aren't seeing your potential and wanting to bet on you to move you forward. I really appreciate Memphis Fresh because I think that your vendor events have really changed my mindset and I want to thank you so much. Granted all you are doing is allowing me to put myself out there but it has allowed me to have opportunities come to me!
I also want to thank my husband because without him believing in me and allowing me to see this through. You are my heart outside of my chest and I really thank you a million times more for your support each and every day because I know it can be hard to deal with me and my tantrums with my business lol.
So here is to ending the year better than we started, and begin the year with the biggest BANG so people will know that Clairation is here! I hope that everyone can accomplish any and all goals that they set for themselves and more. Remember the small accomplishments because when you work for yourself you forget that YOU are the person that needs to pat yourself on the back and know that you are making strives!
