Struggling with anxiety in a toxic environment where people don't have any kind of awareness of how they impact a certain person with their actions or inactions is probably the hardset thing in the world. At least it is for people who have social anxiety and are in the music industry (Entertainment Business in general).
I was one of those people that had anxiety problems, mostly because back in the day i used to be a quiet kid, who played the guitar and just didn't fit in anywhere really. No one really gave me support and coming from a town where people are brain washed to the point that anything that isn't the 'standard' is considered ugly, weird, stupid, it really wasn't easy. Not for me, not for the countless others around me.
I was always taking the easy way out, i'd stay out of conflict and i would keep to myself. Honestly, those were the worst things i ever could have done to myself. Thankfully i got out of my own bubble. 3 years ago i wouldn't have taken a picture like this, but now i love doing it. I ain't the prettiest looking fellow, not the smartest either, but at least i am fully aware of that. But i don't care and neither should you.
We can't beat anxiety. We can't escape it. We can't hide from it. All we can do is continue on, no matter the road ahead or behind. We are way more than our face, skin, hair, clothing and way more than just living beings. We are eternal energy that manifests thru our bodies and we should be anxious about something that is not even important? I don't think so.
Get up, go into the masses, let them judge you, let them belittle you. But remember, none of that matters as long as you keep your head up. You are here for only a second. Your energy is here forever. So don't let the voices of a few (please use a more appropriate word) ruin the time you have on this beautiful planet.
