Casting: Spreading FLAGS into an area where their movements can be observed.

Proper casting involves placing the flags far enough apart that they cannot all be seen at once, while recruiting Signifiers to keep them in motion. Crystal, the: A geometric structure formed by FLAG casting. The Crystal represents an act of self manifestation, as it is both created by and directs the position of all FLAGS within the casting. It exists in all dimensions including time, precipitati

on, and color. Producing a rotation in one facet of the crystal causes effects throughout the entire structure. FLAG: Short for “Survey FLAG.” A rectangular flag on a pole designed to be easily moved. Typically yellow and unadorned. FLAG Psychosis: A mental trance state in which Signifiers channel the will of the Crystal by meditating on the FLAGS.

“Glorious”: The “Signifier’s salute”, an expression of recognition when meeting another Signifier. Koans: Memetic devices used to induce FLAG Madness. Signifier: One who carries a FLAG, or has intention to carry a FLAG. A Signifier is channeling the will of the Crystal, either consciously or unconsciously. Vexillomancer: A scientist and practitioner of Vexillomancy. One who makes and casts FLAGS, and recruits Signifiers. A Vexillomancer is in continuous dialog with the FLAGS during the casting, reading their positions and directing their movements accordingly. Vexillomancy: The scientifically-recognized practice of magic involving FLAGS, both by casting them to to produce an effect and reading their positions to divine hidden knowledge.

It's time for Alchemy 2025 “Legends” Art Grant Community Voting.
Voting is now live for this year’s art grants, so go tell us what art you want to see in 2025.

Our Voting Process:
→ Vote now! Go to the Potion Art grant page [If you don't have a Potion Account you will need to make one]. Once you are in, take a look at the 76 projects that are eligible for receiving votes. Once you have decided where to cast your votes [you get 10] place them wherever you like. You have 2 weeks to let us know what legendary art you want to see this year with your votes.
→ Once a project receives enough votes to receive their minimum funding then that project can no longer be voted for. The number of votes needed to reach minimum funding is determined by the minimum amount the project is seeking. (though this doesn’t mean you can’t go read up and prepare yourself for the mind-blowing art you now know is coming)
→ All projects funded to their minimum will be moved on to the art grant committee to be reviewed and potentially allocated additional funds up to their Maximum. Legendary Bonus round – Some non-funded art projects might just spark fabled status and get funded here too!
→ Voting will close when 5,000 votes are used or on August 8th, whichever comes first!

When moving a Flag, try to move it as others would expect you to move it if they were imagining how you think they think you think you're moving it. Recursively add more reflexive reflections of thought: you think they think you think... into infinity. This thought, known as the First Thought, is the single unique thought shared by all who practice this practice. It is the first and only known thought for which it has been proven that if you think it, it is the exact same thought as thunk by any other thinker that thinks it.
