Did you know there’s a flower named after the happiest place on earth? The Disneyland Rose is a stunning bloom with rich pink and golden tones, beloved by butterflies and Disney fans alike.

In the early 2000s, Disney’s horticulture team set out to create a signature flower for the resort. The challenge? It needed to stand up to the realities of theme park life—long days in the sun, pests, and even rust—while still showcasing large, vibrant blooms in a distinctive color. After much searching, horticulturist Karen Hedges found the perfect match, and the Disneyland Rose was officially born.

The first of these beautiful roses were planted at the park gates in 2002, and now they can be found throughout the Disneyland Resort. Their pink and golden hues are as magical as the park itself, making them easier to spot than you might think!

Next time you’re at Disneyland, take a moment to admire this special bloom. It’s a little piece of cultivated magic that perfectly captures the park’s charm and resilience.

In this image, I am freeing myself...breaking the chains of self-doubt, fear, and the labels that tried to define me. Using the sword as a symbol of strength and self-liberation. The act of setting myself free serves as a reminder that the power to heal and reclaim your story is within you.

Sometimes life and other human beings try to dim our light, make us forget who we are, or bury our strength under the weight of challenges and darkness. But just like this moment, we can choose to rise, to fight for ourselves, and to remember the beauty and power within.

Leonardo da Vinci's fascination with the Flower of Life ran deep, showcasing his incredible ability to intertwine art, science, and mathematics. In his notebooks, he didn't just sketch this intricate geometric design; he delved into its components, like the Seed of Life and Fruit of Life, unlocking patterns that he believed were fundamental to the universe.

The Flower of Life wasn't just a visual interest for da Vinci—it became part of his artistic philosophy. His iconic drawing, the Vitruvian Man, is thought to be inspired by the principles of sacred geometry, with its interplay of overlapping shapes symbolizing the connection between the physical and spiritual realms.

He often used the Golden Ratio (phi) in his masterpieces, a concept linked to the Flower of Life, revealing his belief in divine proportion and harmony in creation. His detailed sketches in the Codex Atlanticus further demonstrate how he explored the Flower of Life as more than a decorative design—it was a template for understanding geometry, from Platonic solids to spheres and beyond.

Da Vinci believed "everything connects to everything else," and the Flower of Life embodied this unity and balance in the cosmos. For him, it was not just a symbol but a gateway to understanding the natural world and creation itself, bridging the gap between art and science in a way only he could.
