I found Micah's card stock invites for the Curious George themed party. The Paper Merchant in Geneva, Illinois is great because you can purchase as many cards as you need. I don't like when I have to buy a 12 set or 25 set of invites and I only need 8. Plus the store offers tons of cute party supplies.

During the holiday season we have taken our children three times to the Brookfield Zoo Holiday Magic Light Show. We have enjoyed seeing all the animals, exhibits, and holiday lights. Now through December 31st the lights will be on display daily from 4pm-9 pm. Bundle up the family and take in the fun festivities at the Brookfield Zoo.

It’s not too late to enjoy some great local holiday entertainment ideas for you and your family this holiday season in Aurora, Illinois.

For 61 years Lehnertz Avenue in Aurora, has put on a display that celebrates the true meaning of Christmas. Take a drive down this road and read the Biblical verses and enjoy the nativity scenes. This event is free and you can even park your car and take a stroll down the block and enjoy this holiday celebration.

Philips Park is celebrating its sixth year of the Festival of Lights. It’s wonderful opportunity to load up your family and take a drive through Christmas lights. This also is a free event, but donations are welcomed and go to a good cause.

In the City of Aurora, there is a small un-incorporated called Eola Town. It is located at the intersection of Eola Road and Aurora Avenue. There is a house in this small area that is decked out for the holidays. What I really like about 6S361 Old Eola Road is the effort and time that this homeowner puts into creating their light show. Make sure you turn your radio to channel 106.3 to watch the lights dance to music. I can’t wait to see this display grow in the years to come and this house is my new family tradition. I plan on loading up the family on Christmas Eve night and drive over to watch a local community member’s tribute to Christmas.

Let’s help support Delta Sonic’s Cause for Paws. The Light Show begins 5pm daily throughout the month of December. For any donation made they will offer you a free car wash & light show… Yes, their light show plays during your automated car wash. Also, your donation goes to help area humane societies.
