One of the best parts of the Wedding Planning journey is the tasting.

Here is a taste of what to expect and how to get the best out of it:

🫒 Most caterers invite you to select 2 dishes per course for the tasting menu. Your selection should be confirmed 14 days prior to the tasting.

🍷 Wine pairing: the alchemy of wine and food is an art and you will be guided by a sommelier to help you with the wine selection.

🖊️ Take pictures and notes during the tasting. This will strengthen your feedback so you don't forget any details when you're looking back on what could feel like endless options.

⏱️ A tasting usually takes about 2 to 3 hours and is often complimentary for you as a couple. In case other guests will join you, this may have an additional cost.

Often thought to be a standard aspect of wedding planning in order to get the best deals, we question whether the discount-game isn't a little outdated.

We rather look for the fairness and transparency when choosing our vendors. A fair price isn't just a number but a reflection of the invaluable experience, skills and quality (including the gear) that vendors bring to the table.

Trusted vendors are those vendors who provide a fair price for the quality of the service they offer. They don't include unnecessary discount buffers or markups. Their transparency shines through as they wholeheartedly understand and communicate the true worth of their services, ensuring a genuine and straightforward partnership.

Most couples dive straight into the ocean of gorgeous wedding inspo out there and start shopping to bring their vision for their weddingday to live. This basically means that they start travelling without a roadmap. A vision or moodboard of what a wedding needs to look and feel like is like a destination, not a roadmap. An overall budget that we are willing to spend is like a destination, not a roadmap. Wedding planning done right means that you start the wedding planning journey in the right place, unless you want to sign up for unnecessary stress and overwhelm during the planning process. You start the wedding planning with a roadmap. What does this mean? ➡️ Have your guest list in place: this means that you have a list of people who you want to invite and that you have a guest number in mind that feels comfortable to both of you. Also be mindful of what margin you allow and include this in the budget. Having ten more guests attending your wedding impacts your budget significantly. ➡️ Work Your Wedding Budget: yeah, we know this is the very boring and unromantic part of your wedding 🙄 ....but if you don't want to feel stressed about money flying out of your pocket or having sleepless nights because you spent way more than you intended to, you want to hear this. 1) Be honest what you can afford and define the maximum amount you want to spend on your weddin To help you with this, we have published several articles about the wedding budget for a destination wedding in Portugal.
