Another great night of music last club session - a few new faces and 14 separate performers (both individual and duos). A DATE FOR YOUR DIARY - Kevin Dempsy will be appearing at our first concert night on September 10th. Capacity is limited to 40 so we are taking bookings to avoid disappointment.

It was great to welcome new faces at Brackley Folk and Acoustic Club on Sunday, as well as more regular members. There was a warm atmosphere and the playing & singing was frequently exceptional - I hope the club will continue to attract an interesting variety of styles and performances - ranging from solo tunes and songs, to duos, and a 4 piece harmony group all the way from Brill. See you next month - 4th Sunday.

The first night of the new monthly BRACKLEY FOLK AND ACOUSTIC CLUB with the room filled to capacity - traditional songs, fiddle tunes, acoustic blues, bagpipes and more in a warm and welcoming environment. The club said thanks, and farewell to DON THOMPSON who has run a folk club in Brackley for the past 21 years - he's off to North Wales to entertain the locals there. An emotional night on Sunday when DON THOMPSON stepped down from running the BRACKLEY FOLK CLUB after 22 years, to move away to North Wales. THE CLUB WILL CONTINUE in a slightly different format, 4th Sunday of the month (starting on 22 January) initially as an acoustic music/singaround - the club will welcome players, singers and those who just want to listen. 8.00pm at BRACKLEY BAR AND GRILL. We hope for support from existing music enthusiasts and aim to foster a friendly and supportive live music venue in Brackley.

Brackley Folk and Acoustic Club is starting with a new name and in a new format from January 2023, initially with Club Nights followed by Guest Nights later in the year.
The regular Club Nights will be on 4th Sunday of every month (entry by voluntary contribution of £2). These are acoustic nights where all performers are welcome. The first night is January 22nd.
Guest Nights will start hopefully in the spring, and will be on the 2nd Sunday of the month.
Please come along and support us - everyone is welcome to sing, play or just listen.
