While I wish I could have done even more, playing the music I’m deeply passionate about has been rare. But them knowing their tracks were played in the Middle East and being able to support them still feels like a win

The real reward has been the friendships and connections I’ve built along the way, because in the end, that’s what truly matters

On our 266th Select, we bring you Karam Touba, a Dubai-based selector, DJ, former resident at the Rave Movement parties, and current organizer of the Decibel DXB event series. He has been spinning in the region’s electronic music circuit since 2003, beginning his DJ career by playing drum ‘n bass and jungle before eventually venturing into techno. His sets usually feature selections of dark, deep and hypnotic musical pieces that create an everlasting impact on the dancefloor wherever he goes.

Karam brings his signature ‘Proper Techno, No BS’ set to our Select series. The set is a 72-minute mix of pure classic rave vibe and straight-to-the-face techno smack. Better put on those shades for this one.

Tbilisi you’ve been really fun (and cold) 🖤✨

I ate too much and I drank semi red wine too much but that didn’t matter since I’ve been walking around everywhere. & I barely cared to took photos or videos. Just immersed myself in the city as much as possible!

Yes, I went to Bassiani, Khidi, & Tes and it was a lovely way to reenergize & remind myself why I love what I love in the first place 🌹

Back in Dubai now and can’t wait to start 2024 🔥

Hello everyone 👋

2023 has been a pivotal year for me & I’m eternally grateful for the opportunity to support our local selectors & producers. I got a couple of things I’m working on to support our local DJs 🖤 this doesn’t stop & shouldn’t

In the meantime, I would like to thank the 100+ who joined me in building our community radio in the UAE, and I thank & congratulate all the local talent who participated in this journey

I also want to give thanks to the regional DJs from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Kuwait, Bahrain, India, Jordan & Lebanon who came down to perform & participate in our music scene! Still blows my mind some took a flight to come down to perform. Thank you 🙏

I won’t be hosting the next season of MiZa Radio, and this decision is the right one because with grassroots cultural movements & initiatives, it shouldn’t be a sole person leading it, but a collective of passionate curators & operators taking MiZa Radio where it needs to go 🙌

Thank you for the trust. We are all looking forward to the new season 🎈
