We're happy that Wycombe Abbey were happy with last week's Politics Student Conference :)

Last week, the LVI Politics class attended the Sixth Form politics conference, Poleconuk, at Westminster.

Speakers included MPs from The Labour Party, the Green Party, and the Scottish National Party (SNP) offering insights into party policies and parliamentary debates. Sir Lindsay Hoyle, Speaker of the House of Commons, made a surprise appearance, while Nigel Farage sparked lively discussions.

Pupils participated in live polls and Q&A sessions, exploring topics like Scottish independence, private members’ bills, and the possibility of a four-day work week.

The event was thought-provoking and informative, providing pupils with new perspectives on British and global politics.
