Hello all! Thank you so much for coming to our page and supporting our journey.
We believe in supporting local businesses and growing our tight knit community in Berwick, Maine. So who are we? Our names are Julio and Kate. Seacoast Roots Taqueria is a culmination of our many years of experience in the food industry and overall love for tacos! Although our full time jobs have been in the medical field for years now, we have always kept cooking as a key part of our lives. Wheth
er it be running a food truck, catering for friends and families (and their events), or working in commercial kitchens for big and small restaurants, it has always been a vital component of who we are. Creating unique flavors brings us joy and we are so excited to share that with our community. Julio grew up in a hispanic home that was constantly filled with the smell of authentic Mexican cuisine. His fondest memories are waking up to his father playing Spanish music and cooking a grand breakfast for what seemed like the entire neighborhood. Anytime Julio would visit his Grandma Virginia or Victoria they would always ask him if he was hungry. Even if he said no they would always begin to make homemade tortillas, rice, and beans. To this day he still stands by his statement that there is no better snack than a warm homemade tortilla with melted butter. Kate grew up in a small rural town where she attended school to become a Nurse. While in school she worked varying jobs including serving in restaurants, customer service, and office settings. She comes from a family that are primarily vegetarian and vegan, which explains her love for all things vegetables! Kate is a huge reason we are where we are today as she has always managed the front of the house including: customer greeting, serving, order management, packaging, and just helping in any way that she can to make sure that we provide great food and exceptional customer service. Together we strive to provide amazing homemade food, with consistent flavors, and options for all to enjoy! We hope to see you all very soon with tacos in hand!

Have you ever had a Birria taco?
What is a Birria Taco?
Traditional birria tacos come from Jalisco, Mexico and are made from slow roasted goat in a stew or chile blend also referred to as consommรฉ.
The tortilla is fried in the rendered fat and chile juice then filled with the meat, Mexican cheese (optional), white onion, and cilantro. It is finally served with a slice of lime and a small cup of the stew to dip the taco in.
For those of you following along thatโs levels of flavor!
We here at Seacoast Roots try to stay true to tradition, however our birria tacos are made with beef as itโs more readily available.
Our chile blend is unrivaled, as told from our many followers. Most recently someone traveled to Florida and sent us a picture of there Birria tacos, simply saying that ours were better.
We put a lot of time and hours into the preparation of every dish, but our Birria is definitely the fan favorite.
So come try them while you can tomorrow while we serve them up Onaplainbrewing from 12-8 or sold out.
We will also have Mexican street corn in a cup,
Mushroom and corn tacos, chicken tacos, sweet potato tacos, and more. Our tortillas come straight from corn milled locally and baked fresh for every event.

Alright - orders for the day are in! Birria took number one, so much that we are completely out of consommรฉ and will be making extra for tomorrow! Our homemade Queso and Elote con Vaso ties for second!
We changed up the queso recipe a tad this morning and let me tell you - it is AMAZING!
