Insta fam, it’s been a minute- but I’m finally sharing some amazing weddings from end of last year.

First up are these amazing pics from Brent and Dayna’s wedding at Grazing! 💕

I went to high school with Brent, and was so happy to be part of his special day all these years later (I mean, high school was 5 years ago right?). Brent marrying the gorgeous Dayna with their two beautiful babies coming down the aisle first!

Finally sharing some amazing photos from .lalic and special day up in the Gold Coast. Start to finish, this was a seriously special ceremony for me, having been friend with George and Mel since our baby days in year 11! 💕

This ceremony was so magic, full of love and laughs, and complete with an unexpected rain shower as soon as George started his vows (literally have goosebumps just writing about that moment!). Not to mention a dance floor second to none.

What a privilege it was to get these two soul mates married.

Okay, this day could not have been more perfect. The most amazing autumn Canberra lakeside setting, the best crowd, and most of all the most stunning, loved up and genuine couple. Adam & El, you guys are the best 💕

Ok last night was something else.

Just a couple of 10’s smiling, laughing and crying their way through the most fun ceremony before getting ready to tear up the dance floor all night. 🪩

Check list for the best day:
-Their two adorable boys walking down the aisle (and getting a lollipop from the maid of honour at the end)
-The epic story of how this relationship got off the ground after a little false start.
-Matt referring to Sal as a ‘loose unit on the p**s’ during his vows and Sal saying there’s still no one she’d rather get on the p**s with. Iconic.
-The biggest ever party after years of delays (these guys were my last Covid re-book, and safe to say everyone partied accordingly!)

Now you see me.. now you don’t.

I still get couples saying to me ‘and we just want to check that you’ll be out of the frame for the first kiss’… and the answer is absolutely yes!

There are some moments where I’ll stand in the middle, for example during the legal vows. But for the most part, I’ll stand off to the side, and for the first kiss, I’ll be like a ninja, moonwalking out of the way so I’m not third wheeling for your special moment!

Getting it done.

Arguably the MOST important part of the ceremony, signing documents to make everything legally official.

So while I will bring the vibes and tell a killer story on the day, just know that I’m also detail obssessed and won’t drop the ball on the legal requirements of your marriage.

Telling love stories > replying to emails.

Three things I love about this job:
1. I get to unleash my inner creative writer. These skills spend most of the weekend locked away deep, being a celebrant is the opposite of being a lawyer in many ways.
2. I get to meet amazing human beings in love. Sometimes I lucky enough to meet their little people and their fur babies too!
3. I get to wear fun outfits that can’t get ruined by my kids sticky hands. 😂

On the outside: cool, calm, collected
Deep down: watching the black storm clouds rolling in and wondering if I can physically speak any faster (answer, no, not really) 😂

But there was a happy ending, we literally just finished, and the stoked newlyweds (and their puppy/ring bearer) made their way back down the aisle before the skies opened up and we all ran for cover 🌧️
