Flywheel are a five piece psychedelic-pop band formed in Cork in 1994. Influenced by My Bloody Valentine, Cocteau Twins and 18th Dye, they released the 1996 album ‘She’ with IWH Records, Sweden in 1996, which has been described in the Irish Examiner as “one of the truly great lost Cork albums”. They broke up shortly after the release, but have reformed in 2020 for a series of gigs and recordings. In March 2023 they dropped the 6 track Ep ‘You’ve Seen A Lot’ followed by 2 singles in October ‘Reject Guy’ and ‘Frail & Needy’.
California Businessman are a 4 piece band based in the Blackrock area of Cork City. Formed in 2019 they have an LP on its way, recorded with Christian Best in Monique Studios. 5 singles have been released to date, the most recent ‘Divine Raptures’ having earworm ability.

Reggie from the Blackrock Road, is the richest man in Ireland. (But not for tax purposes.)
He has over 80,000 followers on social media attracted by his videos mocking Liz Truss, poor taste and the people of Kilmallock. After years of tyranny under Michael D. Higgins Reggie has decided to run for Uachtarán na hÉireann.
In the run up to the election in 2025, Reggie will visit corners of Ireland which have been by-passed by progress and advances in personal hygiene. He will be in the Lee Rowing Club on August 18th. That’s very brave considering it involves Reggie walking down the Marina, which is full of people in Glen Rovers jersies.

Maicín are Happy Sad Men with an EP from producer Oli Deakin (CMAT) on the way. Their songs are both irreverent and deeply personal ranging from helpless romanticism to the shtick on a nice pint of Beamish.

"Growing up in Cork, the City Hall always ignited something in our hearts. It’s a place of celebration, known for hosting iconic gigs from legendary artists like U2, Simple Minds, Depeche Mode, Eric Clapton, and Thin Lizzy. For us, Cork City Hall is synonymous with the legend that is Rory Gallagher. The grainy footage of his 1974 tour, playing to a packed home crowd, is etched in our minds.
On Saturday November 30th, we’ll be keeping these memories in mind as we plan an evening of joy, story, song, and celebration. We may even have some special guests joining us."

Kneecap is a hip hop band from Belfast, performing under the stage names Mo Chara, Móglaí Bap, and DJ Próvaí. The trio released their first album in 2018, and have continued to produce various singles ever since. Their new album ‘Fine Art’ is out now on Heavenly Recordings. It includes guest appearances by Radie Peat, Grian Chatten, Nino, and Jelani Blackman.
The trio appear in a film based on a fictionalised version of their lives, also titled ‘Kneecap’, which is set to be directed by Rich Peppiatt, with Michael Fassbender in a supporting role.

They’re debut album ‘Supernumeraries’ was nominated for a Choice Music Prize earlier this year. I Dreamed I Dream are a genre-blending five-piece band from Cork. They are influenced by everything ranging from shoegaze and dream pop to classic girl groups who describe themselves as “no-punk bitch-wave”. On the first single from the album ‘Mole In The Ground’, a cover of an American anti-establishment folk song recorded by Bascom Lamar Lunsford in 1928, John evokes the rebellious energy he felt in his home of Dublin during a time when it was being “torn to shreds by property developers and vulture funds.”
