Bergen’s darkest party returns to Østre for some more bass driven music and freaky dancing.

Keep it Dark residents Reckless Kettle and Hildisvini will be behind the decks all night giving you:
⦿ Percussive techno cuts for powerful dancing
⦿ EBM (electronic body music) to keep things kinky
⦿ Breakbeats old and new
⦿ Occasional jabs of searing acid
⦿ Deep rich dubby flavours throughout the night

A party is only as good as it’s guests so you need to help us out on this. Make an effort to contribute to the party with lots of friendly, happy dancing energy. Look out for your friends to make sure they are safe.

𝗗𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗦
Fetishwear is encouraged: Latex, leather, PVC is great. If you don’t own any of that stuff then get creative, dress up and wear something freaky. If that is not your thing then standard all black club attire is recommended. By wearing something more daring you will help contribute to creating a space where others feel that they can freely express themselves.

Do you want to get in for free? Send us a photo of you in your amazing freaky outfit at least 24hrs in advance and we might award you with a guest list spot. (send to keep.it.dark.party instagram)

Quite the delay getting this post out, but better late than never…

We had a full house at our party on the 16th, and you party animals seemed to be having a whale of a time! It was wonderful seeing such a mixed crowd of both music and art lovers, and our collaboration with the lovely people at was certainly a success. Shoutout to our wonderful ‘friendly faces’ on the dancefloor: and . You guys helped us to create safe space for people to be themselves ♥️

This Friday!

Are you ready for another Keep it Dark? We have lots going on so don’t miss it. We will have our usual dark dance floor, smoke, lasers and heavy fun bass sounds. We are also excited about showing the work of four amazing artists. On top of that we are also introducing our Friendly Face on the Dancefloor crew to keep you extra safe.

For our next party, we’re collaborating with the fantastic to find artists to exhibit. Ove is a super cool nomadic gallery, whose values match closely with our own. If you have an art you’d like to exhibit at our next club night, please apply! More info below:

OPEN CALL

OVE galleri is hosting an OPEN CALL for Keep It Dark club night!

The event will take place at Østre in February 2024, for one night only.

We’re looking for art works to be exhibited on the first floor of Østre.
(This includes: back room (Vestre), bar/ entrance area, windows/ lightboxes, staircase and toilets).

Please apply with a sketch or picture, a short description of your work and a short artist statement. Portfolio and CV are not needed. We welcome applications in English or any Nordic language.

Resident DJ: Hildisvíni aka. Freya Coursey is a Scottish DJ, bird expert and nature photographer. She provides banging tunes at the Keep It Dark nights as well as amazing images for our posters.

Steered by the moody and mysterious, her sets are filled with dark electro, punchy acid and Electronic Body Music. She often selects tunes with rich electronic textures and sexy vocal samples, giving the night some very memorable moments.
