✨ Staff Spotlight: Jess! ✨

If you've ever called our wholesale line, chances are you've spoken to Jess! She has been part of the Hyacinth House team for almost three years. Starting off at a tiny desk in the corner doing data entry, Jess has grown into a key member of our wholesale department.

Her favorite part of working at Hyacinth House? The plants, of course! Jess loves the life they bring and appreciates the beauty in their simplicity.

Known for her quick smile, kind words, and witty sense of humor, Jess’s bubbly personality is cherished by everyone. We're so lucky to have her on the team!

❄️ It may be absolutely freezing outside, but at least Lily is comfy in her basket 😂 Our greenhouse cats keep our spirits up! We especially appreciate them when temps are this low and leaving our cozy beds feels like a chore. It's always a pleasure to walk in to a warm work place full of life and coworkers that make us smile ☺️

Today, we're shining the spotlight on Lisa, one of our incredibly talented designers! Lisa's easygoing spirit is infectious, and she's been a wonderful addition to our team. With over six years of experience as a floral designer, Lisa comes from a family deeply rooted in the floral industry—her mom was a designer for over 40 years, and many of her siblings and relatives have worked in floral shops in various roles.

Lisa's favorite part of floral design is bringing her creative visions to life. While all her arrangements are stunning, she truly excels in creating breathtaking centerpieces and wreaths. With Thanksgiving and the holidays just around the corner, Lisa is fully in her element!

In the spirit of the season, Lisa shares that she’s thankful for the opportunity to marry the love of her life next year and for exciting new professional opportunities. Between designing gorgeous arrangements and planning a spring wedding, she’s been busier than ever!

Early mornings are busy here at the Hyacinth House. We've got the wholesale crew getting on the road to bring plants all over MI, we've got floral designers creating beautiful arrangements to send out fresh today, and we've got the greenhouse crew unpacking shipments and getting ready for another day full of plants! We even had a rental team decorating a stage downtown Lansing!

Today was extra special because it was our first snow of the season! For a business whose operations are so dramatically affected by the seasons, we have a deep respect for the weather and the joys and challenges it brings.
