Tips for protecting your plants (and yourself) on these 🥵 90 degree days:
•Water early in the morning, and sometimes in the evening if your plants are dehydrated and in direct sunlight. ☀️
•Water at the roots to ensure good absorption. This also helps prevent scorch to the petals as the sun dries the water upon them. 🚿
•Mulch around the base of your plants. Mulch helps the soil retain moisture and stay cooler during the heat of the day. 🪣
•Provide shade when possible, especially if you notice your plant is stressed from the heat. If potted move them to a shaded spot. ☂️
•Avoid pruning, fertilizing or transplanting during extreme heat. This can cause additional stress and reduce the plants ability to fight high temperatures. ✂️
•Love them and yourself! Drink lots of water and wear your sunscreen! Stay safe out there 🪴 💚 💦
