Father, 9-year-old son tied up and robbed by bandits who requested transportation services in Penal.

10pm, the 35-year-old Santa Cruz man responded to a telephone call he recieved by a man who requested his services to transport furniture from Penal to Tacarigua.
The man, Unctt News was told, operates a transportation services, and later recieved a location via WhatsApp to meet the individual to pick up the "ghost" furniture.
The victim and his 9-year-old son arrived at the location at Crawford Trace, Penal and while walking through a track near LP # 59, they were accosted by three men, one armed with a firearm.
The bandits ordered the father and son, who carries the same first and last name, to lie on the floor and proceeded to tie them up. They then robbed the man of $2,000 cash, his wallet and his iPhone pro max cellular valued $7,500.
The suspects also stole the victims white H-100 Hyundai pick up registration # TCC 4388 valued $6,000.
A report was subsequently made to the police and officers from the Penal Police Station which included Sgt. Boodal, PC Nanan, PC Hosein, PC Soogrim and PC Heralal responded and went in search of the suspects and the vehicle but they could not be located. PC Hosein is investigating the incident.
