It's been a while since I posted here. As some of you know I have been writing a wedding ebook. Boy, it took me quite some time to finish my first ebook, but now it's finally here.

Hello all,
Last weekend I styled another beautiful wedding!

It was a gorgeous outside wedding location that my clients picked. The weather was fantastic, it could not have been better...even got a little sunburn, when setting it all up :)

The wedding theme was festival, colours were a beautiful mix of pink, red, blue yellow, green...just fabulous!

I cannot wait to share with you the end result and show you some pictures.

Today is a good day for a beautiful wedding!

I decorated yesterday 10 hours the outside wedding location of one of my clients, so we are almost set. Today still the last finishing touches... and then the wedding party can begin.

The wedding colours are blue, gold and white. Really amazing color scheme!

I cannot wait to share with you the end result.

Hey y'all,
today I wanted to share with you the importance of PINTEREST.
Yes we all know it and love it and the moment the ring comes on your finger, a pinterest board is being created and thousands of pictures are being posted.

You probably wonder why I bring this up. Pinterest is fun and versatile!

However, whenever I work with a bridal couple, I give my couples a timeframe in which we allow ourselves to pin away! Usually in the first two three weeks we gather lots of inspirations. But then ,we stop and review them! We will check whether we can determine out of all these 500 pins a reoccuring theme. Once we determined the theme and vibe, we will stop pinning further!

Why is that?
Well, you have picked the theme, so why would you pin any further? You will only get distracted and find other 1000pins that most likely do not even go with the vibe you were looking for. It will confuse you, make you insecure and get you hung up on details, that you may not be able to replicate or afford.

That's another challenge with Pinterest. You don't know how much money and time were spent on some of these inspirational shoots. Imagine you found this beautiful table setting and you want the exact same one at your wedding, only to find out that it costs you 5000 Dollar and took 5 hours to assemble. Thats the disadvantage with Pinterest, you are not able to filter, show me all 200 dollar centerpieces in this theme setting with 1 hour prep time... you get my point? In these situations especially wedding stylists, planner or coordinators can assist you. They can advise you how long certain settings take and how much of your budget will need to be set aside to accomplish a certain look.

To sum it up, Pinterest is great for the first few weeks when planning your wedding, to get inspirations. However, once you were able to design a vibe and theme out of all these pins, stop pinning and select only your top 5 and see whether and how you can incorporate them into your wedding. Be aware of your budget and time it takes to create these different settings. Consult a wedding expert if you are doubting.
