Welcome to this week's "In the Market" update!

More great produce this week, including a new item: local green pears from Lonoke. We also have microgreens, arugula, spring mix, heads of lettuce, hot peppers, various other green and colored peppers, green beans, okra, cucumbers, squash, and a few cherry tomatoes—all local. For Arkansas, we're picking up a load of Dumas Black Diamond seedless watermelons tomorrow, plus we have sweet potatoes and garlic. Out of state, we have more of that great Colorado sweet corn (the feedback was very positive), South Carolina peaches, Tennessee and Missouri apples, and Tennessee red and heirloom tomatoes.

The baked goods selection will be wonderful as usual. I've requested Buckman Brewhouse bring more of the sourdough pesto knots (by the way, they pair great with the Opera Sauce Mediterranean Hot Sauce marinara) as they never last into the weekend. So the baked goods lineup looks like large and half loaves, sliced bread, pesto knots, and focaccia, plus danish, cinnamon swirls, mini donuts, and oatmeal cream doozie pies, cookies, and a selection of gluten-free goodies. Don't forget fresh cinnamon rolls are delivered Friday morning.

New vendor alert- NOLA Vibes joins the market with Cajun and Creole inspired ready-to-eat entrees, dips, and more. Everything is made from scratch using authentic Louisiana ingredients. We're going to start small and see how it is received here at the market. I suggest you go to their page (NOLA Vibes), check out the list of available items, and let us know if there's something you'd like to see us carry. We've tried the red beans and rice with grilled smoked sausage, the blackened chicken Alfredo, the chicken salad, the cold spinach dip, and the chicken wrap—great for a grab-and-eat on the run—and we're impressed!

Almost forgot to mention, we will be restocked this week with White River Creamery fromages, pimento and cheese and mozzarella, plus Maria's Homemade Country Fare will drop off cold spinach dip!

The weather looks pretty good for this week, sunny or mostly sunny with highs in the 80s THUR and FRI, moving up into the 90s for SAT and SUN. Make a plan to drop by, pick up some wonderful local goods, and support some true small businesses. As always, we appreciate your support!

We have loved working with h&h farms this year! The melons were fantastic and we look forward to lots more years with these hardworking folks!

Stopped by to restock the cooler at The front porch market for y’all and I HIT THE JACKPOT!!! Cave City Watermelons were coming off of the truck!! I cut that baby as soon as I walked in my front door and they are sooooo goooood!!!! Go getcha one!!!
Also posting a pic of my little chicken nugget Cade and her BFF Molly. Lol. They were a whole vibe this morning!

Happy Monday!!
We have y’all stocked up this week at The front porch market in Benton and Moody Brews in SoMa.
⚜️We are also stocked up for pick up at our kitchen location 10720 Kanis (corner of Kanis & Shackleford). If you’d like to pick up here, just give us a call or shoot us a text and we will have it ready for you!

So I want to explain one of the dishes on our menu this week, cuz I get some craaaazy looks about the name. lol. Beef Porcupine. Yall, it’s SO good. Growing up that’s what we called it, so, it is what it is! I posted a before and after picture so yall can see exactly what it is (also a pic of the beef tips cuz they’re worth photographing. Lol) The Beef Porcupine…. It’s Omaha Steak Ground Beef with Onions, Bell Peppers, Garlic and seasonings, rolled in raw rice then cooked in a pot of homemade Red Gravy. The Red Gravy is an 8 hour pot of sauce that starts with Oil & Tomato Paste - a “Red Roux”. It’s one of my favorite meals and I wanted to share it with y’all. Hope you enjoy it!

We will restock a new menu this weekend and I swear I’m going to get better about posting! This Chef tends to spend more time cooking than anything, so social media really gets away from me. Im sorry! I promise I’ll do better 🥰

We are thrilled to get some locally made bread up in the joint! We have Bennett's Breads sourdough loaves (classic $9.50 or cheddar jalapeno $11), as well as sourdough baguettes ($6). The baguettes pair beautifully with the NOLA Vibes spreads we offer for in house snacking, or take home a loaf for excellent toasted sandwich situations.
A growler, bread, and a dip--all locally made--would make for a pretty fire Father's Day gift, if we say so ourselves! Current taplist at moodybrews.co

We are all stocked up at The front porch market with Salads, Chicken Salad, Dips, and OFCOURSE plentyyyyyyy of Banana Pudding!!! lol. We have Chicken Spaghetti and Blackened Chicken Alfredo in the cooler also. We’ll have more meals out next week, we’ve just been super busy this week and had a little equipment issue our first day back. Thanks for being patient with us and for all the support! Now go pass by the front porch and stock up for the holiday weekend!
Also, they’ve set hours on their Deli for their Craft Sandwiches so get by this weekend and getcha some of that too!!! 🤤🤍

I just want to take a minute to say THANK YOU SO MUCH to all of you that keep selling us out at The front porch market!!! My mind is so blown right now! Yall really have no idea how much we appreciate the support and each and EVERY one of you!!!

I just left there and got the cooler all stocked up. The only thing we won’t have in there tomorrow morning is Chicken Salad and Pimento Cheese, but those will be restocked tomorrow afternoon!
