Sotomayor & Son was established in order to bring authentic Spanish home cooking – real Spanish food – to the UK. With a Spanish mother and British diplomat father, James grew up all around the world, but Spanish home cooking was the constant in a childhood of change and adventure. Drawing on the heritage of his Galician family and his own distinct flair, James’ cooking blends true Spanish recipes, flavours and techniques with a deep regard for sourcing the best ingredients.

Brilliant! Having returned from my brief fact-finding holiday-erm-trip- to Spain. I have found some excelent to another weekend of yummy gazpacho awaits at my two usual haunts of Barnes Farmers Market and The Food Market Chiswick on Saturday and Sunday respectively. See you there :)

I wanted to wish you all the warmest and best wishes for Christmas. The plan was to do this in person at the weekend but unfortunately I have done my knee in so I’m on crutches at the moment so there will be no Sotomayor & Son stall until 2023.

On the plus side I’ll be back on full steam in 2923 having had a lovely Christmas in Wales and a trip to Spain to spend with my family and friends as well.

hi all – just to let you know this weekend we will have the best gazpacho ever at the market and actually it will be the last outing for this delicious soup this year. I will be on annual leave for a couple of weeks To inspire my latin side and plan more autumnal offerings on my return. Do you not miss the final opportunity and come early to avoid disappointment.

wow! The summer is still with us and although I’m beginning to notice the days are getting shorter the gazpacho is at its best right now!
Get to the markets early to be sure to be able to get someas they can’t be too many weeks left of amazing weather and amazing tomatoes.. Next Month it will be an Autumnal menu. A Summer without gazpacho truly is depressing😢
