Locombia festival info point:
English:
(The site will remain “secret location” until the morning of the first day of the event)
> Arriving in Colombia:
- The main airport in Colombia is in Bogota but the closest airport is in Santa Marta. There are 2 more international airports nearby: Barranquilla and Cartagena.
- If your flight arrives in Bogota you can also take a bus to Santa Marta that is approx. 18 hours and usually costs more o less 140.000 Colombian pesos.
- To arrive to the site it is best to take the local bus (every 20 mins 6am to 6pm) from Santa Marta from the central market or from the neighbourhood Mamatoco, a short and cheap taxi or mototaxi ride from the terminal or a slightly longer and slightly more expensive ride from the airport. It is also possible to take a bus from the airport to the central market (and very cheap!) but this takes much longer. If you come by bus from any other cities it is best to change and take the local bus from Santa Marta.
- If you want to take any domestic flights inside Colombia the best airlines are Avianca and Latam and if you are lucky the flights can sometimes be very cheap. There is also a new airline called Jet Smart, I don´t know if it is recommendable or not.
- The main bus companies that operate to Santa Marta are Brasilia, Copetran and Berlinastur, you can consult costs online. There are lots of other smaller companies that will have a similar price.
>Arriving at the site
- When arriving with the local bus you will need to get off in the location (revealed on the 8th March) . PLEASE BE DESCRETE and don´t stay on the main highway. There will be somebody to send you in the right direction.
- From there you will need to take a mototaxi that is part of the organization of the event, approximately 30 minutes up into the mountain. This will have a cost of approximately 40.000 Colombian pesos during the day, more at night.
-The price of the entrance will be 120.000 Colombian pesos, non-negotiable, the profits of the event are going towards several projects that will be carried out in the local communities.
