2019 Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting
The York Entertainment Society - YES! Announces 2019 Parade and Tree Lighting.
York Entertainment Society is here to preserve and promote the historical traditions and heritage of Olde York, SC. While remembering our past we continue to look for new ways to embrace our history and to build new traditions for generations to come. The magic of the Christmas Season will come alive this year on Friday December 6th. Downtown York, SC will host an evening of excitement beginning at 4PM. Come early to take advantage of a variety of food vendors, local restaurants, face painting, balloon twisters and etc. The Parade will kickoff at 6PM followed by our annual tree lighting. The fun doesn’t stop there so be sure to plan on spending the entire evening to take in all of the fun things to do in our Historic Downtown. Our Downtown Shops and Businesses will have extended hours during the evening.
This event is preceded by Small Business Saturday on November 3oth , and followed by The Historic Tour of Homes on December 7th and 8th.
As we build upon the success of the 2018 Christmas Parade, where we produced York’s first night time event, we are dedicated to continue to develop and improve this new tradition. This year’s parade will feature new additions such as more Holiday Lights, more bands, music, dancers, performers and floats. These will all be followed by local equestrians and their mounts as they lead Santa Claus into town where he will spend the evening visiting with attendees.
