Wonderfully different colours, shapes and sizes.

It’s officially Peony season. They come and go so quickly, I think it makes you appreciate them all the more.

Great fun at the Wreath workshop this week. Everyone did brilliantly and very creative.

It’s was lovely to be able to make some wreaths for Christmas. I wasn’t sure I was going to, having had my wrist in plaster for the last few weeks!

It is definitely feeling like Autumn, the temperature has dropped, nights are drawing in and the flowers have just about finished flowering.
That doesn’t mean to say that things here are quiet, there is still plenty to do. I’ve been busy planning, sowing hardy annuals, drying flowers, clearing beds, and collecting seeds.
I really enjoy this time of year; tulip bulbs are on order and will be planted out in November. Lots of lovely varieties to look forward to in the spring.

Some definite signs of spring on the way, or is that just my wishful thinking.
There have been some ups and downs over the last few weeks. Snapdragons and Ranunculus are growing nicely. Tulips and peonies are popping up.
The little vole though, was a unwelcome visitor and has munched a whole tray of Iceland poppies!

The last bouquets of the season went out today.

Now concentrating on next year. Busy clearing beds and planting thousands of tulips, narcissus, ranunculus, anemone and sowing hardy annuals.
I’m excited for all the new varieties I have planned for spring and summer.

I haven’t posted lately, but I have been very busy sowing seeds, bumping up plants and making bouquets, as well as all the other activities that need my attention.

The spring flowers are still in blooms and the sun has finally come out. I’m excited about the season ahead. Peonies are about to pop and the Dahlias are getting planted out this weekend.
What are you looking forward to?
