Today is a big day here at Everett!

We are so excited to introduce you to a new branch of our company: Community Films!

As we've talked about our favorite projects and what direction we want to take our company, Community Films became a clear next step.

So, what are Community Films? They're the stories that create a lasting impact on individuals, families, organizations, and - ultimately - our community. These can be projects with non-profits, charitable organizations, foster families, medical fundraisers, and more.

To kick things off, we will be selecting one winner to receive a free Community Film! To apply, simply click the link below. [Applications for the 2021 Free Community Film are open nationwide and will close June 1, 2021. A winner will be announced June 5, 2021 and notified via email.]

We are so excited to take this next step here at Everett and, as always, are so grateful for the stories you share with us.

Film has the unique power to tell stories in a way that photos or words on paper cannot. Check out our latest film! This bride contacted us three days before her beautiful Sunday wedding in a panic, regretting not hiring a videographer. We powered through the quickest booking process of all time and had so much fun creating their film!

A year [and a day] ago we shot our first wedding together. We’d been freelancing separately for years, but it was so cool to come together [from two very different styles and creative emphases, mind you] and create our first wedding film as a team. We’re super thankful to be in a big editing phase right now. Zach’s been cranking out some killer animations and I’ve been editing like crazy. It’s a wild time to be freelancers, but it’s a wild time for everyone. We’re brainstorming how we can support our self-employed / small business friends. One of our projects for a client has had us running around to lots of local shops and restaurants for the past few weeks. It’s been incredible to hear their stories of success and struggle and get to film their spaces [and break to play shuffleboard]. Our heart goes out to them this week - small business owners, you guys are the real deal.

Last week was Lady's "gotcha day," so here's a video we threw together from the day we went to pick her up [and some of our favorite memories from the first year]!

One of our goals for 2020 is to get around to more of our old footage that we never did anything with. It's so easy to let our personal projects slip by when we get busy with work, so we're excited for some throwback editing soon!

We launched our company as Zach + Emily Video just under a year ago and have absolutely loved all that we have built and all that our clients have so graciously entrusted us with. It's always so fun to get to know a couple throughout their wedding day! These two are so loved + so fun + they showed us SO much kindness. They constantly went out of their way to make sure that WE had a great day! Literally, as we were walking her into her first look, Jenna was busy asking if I needed anything. WHAT.

Check these two out - and watch till the end because Zach KILLED it on the reception edit! Congrats, Jacob + Jenna!
