I have a new mix out today! Please give it a listen on your 'cloud of choice and let me know what you think.

This mix came into existence back in late September on a random Friday night. I was left to my own devices, so I decided to play. I had no plan, just jamming. The recording of that session is the kernel of this mix. I remember thinking so many of the tracks seemed to affect me the way that music did in my early rave days. Whether it was a product of reality or just my state of mind I’m not sure. When I returned to my studio the next day I found a sticky note where I’d written “Old Soul”. I’m pretty sure that was a message from my tired self about the energy of the music I was feeling and not an indictment of my stage in life. Either way, I decided that would be the name of this mix. So whether you are an old soul yourself, or you enjoy music with an old soul, or maybe both, I hope this mix inspires you the way that it did me.

I’m still absolutely buzzing from last Friday. My District debut was everything I could’ve asked for and more. To my friends and family, your support means the world. Huge thanks to everyone who came out early to groove with me. I need to give a couple of special shoutouts: To LincolnHaukdj as a DJ, my goal is simple: to play music for the people. Groovers, I just put out a new mix. I call this one Depth Charge because it starts off deep (and stays somewhat deep), but still charges with groovy energy…with some darker elements thrown in. Add in some classics (originals and modern updates) and you get a nice little 4-hour journey.

Back in January, COVID made its way through our household. 3 of the 4 of us were down with it. My symptoms were mild enough that I was still able to do my weekly live stream. It was one of those streams that I when I was reluctant to start, but was really glad I did. Sharing music and my experience was really healing in the moment. For those 3 or so hours, music really was the answer to my problems. I hope you find this set just as healing.
