As if there was any other option?

The NCCW Board of Directors is proud to announce that NCCW Heavyweight Champion Hayden Backlund has been named the unanimous 2024 Men’s Wrestler of the Year.

While all his wins could be considered suspect, Backlund went 3-0 on the year and headlined all three NCCW events to date.

Congratulations to Hayden on this prestigious award!

What started out as a competitive number one contenders match turned into arguably the most emotional moment in NCCW history.

The NCCW Board of Directors would like to congratulate Ben Ortmanns and Pretty Ricky Willdy on their award for the 2024 NCCW Match of the Year.

At Cream of the Crop, the two veterans brought the heat, battering eachother for over 15 minutes. When it looked as though Ortmanns had the victory, Willdy used his last bit of energy to find the win and secure his NCCW Championship march in the near future.

It was Ortmann’s post-match speech which really turned this into an incredible moment, as the soon-to-be-retired wrestler thanked Willdy for the match, told him how proud he was of him, and passionately told Willdy to go follow his destiny to a showdown with Hayden Backlund for the title before an emotional hug in the middle of the ring.

In 2025, Willdy will use this platform to catapult himself into the title picture. Will he succeed?

There’s a lot of things Shilo has been called by the NCCW faithful over the last year and now there’s another thing to do to the list: wrestler of the year.

The NCCW Board of Directors would like to congratulate Shilo on being named the NCCW Women’s Wrestler of the Year.

Shilo Pawley went 1-1 on the year, nearly defeating Beaa Moss at Barn Burner before toppling Krystal Moon at Cream of the Crop. Just as impressively, she helped her man Kyle Boone go 3-0 on the year.

What will 2025 hold for Shilo as the NCCW women’s division continues to evolve?

They say power comes in numbers and that’s never been truer than with KPK.

The NCCW Board of Directors would like to congratulate KPK on being named the tag team of the year.

While they’ve appeared in many different iterations, the team of KPK went 2-0 in 2024, with victories over Empire and Commotion. When Harun went down with an injury, it was the Australian contingent of KPK, “Clydesdale” Clyde Cain, who stepped in to help out. As well, member Abu headlined Stomping Grounds and won the inaugural OG Cup, granting him a title shot at some point in 2025. Ahmed was a force in the tag division, taking part in both of KPK’s victories.

It’s easy to see that the sky is the limit for KPK, who will be looking for gold in the near future.

When you’ve put on three stellar events, it’s hard to choose just one.

After deep consideration, the NCCW Board of Directors has chosen Barn Burner as the NCCW Event of the Year.

Barn Burner featured a variety of incredible matches, including two OG Cup semi-finals and a hardcore match between Wade Allan and NCCW President Adam Martin’s hand-chosen opponent, PD Skillz.

In the main event, veteran Shane Sabre pushed NCCW champion Hayden Backlund to the limit before coming up just short.

The NCCW president had an amazing time with ABEL Enterprises and Simcoe and District Humane Society at Bingo this past Monday!

We had a special guest at our Bingo last night learning the ropes!

Tag team action returns to NCCW!

The tag team division in Ontario is hot! The Dynasty have to be at the top of the heap when it comes to setting the tone within NCCW. There’s a team that holds one up over them though. The rematch is set for November 17th at the Port Dover Community Centre. The cream of the crop always rises to the top! The Careless Dynasty vs Dynasty! Will Dynasty even the score or will The Careless Dynasty separate themselves as both teams make their debut in a NCCW ring.

D. Smith of Dynasty is coming for that Hybrid Championship Wrestling world title! He has to get through the current champion, “The Wavemaker” Kyle Boone! Will Hybrid crown a new champion heading into the near year or will Boone remain as the Hybrid World Heavyweight Kingpin?
