It looks like Hurricane Ridge might be open this year.

Wow! This place is gorgeous. Another spot at Lake Crescent. It’s North Shore Picnic Area on Camp David Jr Rd. It’s on the north/west side of the lake. This lovely couple from Michigan chose to do their wedding here, for the amazing background. I agree!❤️🌲

This past year brought so many weddings to our beautiful peninsula. I went to the Tree of Life, down at Kalaloch Beach. The tree is a 1000 years old! The water is always a popular place, like Lake Crescent (yes you can bring your cats!) and Salt Creek. The lush green of the Hoh Rainforest makes for the most amazing photos. Did an amazing wedding at Cave B Inn and Winery in Quincy Wa. The venue is crazy beautiful. The view spans forever! I am blown away by this couples wonderful and fun story. Yes, boys and girls it can be done! 💗 A safe and absolutely lovely ceremony outdoors. Nothing better than two people crazy in love, their pups and a few family members.
It is hard to decide whether to have your planned wedding or not this summer. We can always do something sweet and intimate for now and a re-creation later.

Update: In Washington state, several counties are working on extending marriage license applications. If you have a license and you are not able to have a ceremony in the time frame, contact the county you go it at and see if they have implemented the extension. Meanwhile, we can do very small outdoor ceremonies. I would be honored to be a part of that with you.

This was a first! A no touch ceremony. But, it was still sweet and meaningful. With that-weddings are still a go here on the Peninsula! With the couple, two witnesses and the officiant (that’s me!) we can social distance easily. I found out from the county that getting your license does need to be done via mail and the waiting period and expiration date are still valid. There are no extensions on existing licenses. They will still process licenses as per usual.

For anyone concerned about getting married during this difficult time-I am healthy and fine. As long as we are in small venues or outdoors and smart about our hygiene, we should be ok for having a wedding. Love and happy occasions are most needed now. I will keep you posted as to any changes. Stay well!

👰First wedding of 2020🤵 At the beautiful Fort Townsend barn. It was trying to rain, but didn't! We had an eagle fly over just before the bride walked down. It was amazing 😁
