My dear friends, clients, fans, followers and family, thank you for supporting Demeter's Garden for these last 25 years! Today I am making a bittersweet announcement: as of March 31st Demeter's Garden will be closing its doors permanently. Thanks to all of you for the wonderful ride!

Yesterday was and today I am reading about pet tragedies connected to flowers that are toxic and were purchased unknowingly. This is one of the reasons that I try VERY hard to make sure that I know if there is a pet in the house when I am designing an arrangement. Here is a list of a few safe flowers and plants for anyone who is interested. I also grow cat grass and keep a few herbs around my house for my cats to safely nibble on. My heart goes out to all the pet owners whose beautiful flowers led to something tragic. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your furbabies.
