Fräulein Freakbeat (aka Miss or Mademoiselle Freakbeat) from Münster, Germany, loves to collect obscure 45s, LPs, even 78s, and above all, everything that is orange. 🧡
She loves to spin garage, psych, beat, yeye, surf, soul and jump blues, weird and strange records, but most of all: danceable! 💃🕺
She has been a crazy record collector for many years now and picked up deejaying as another hobby al
ong the way that has now become her passion. It all started with a big bang when in her teens she discovered 60s garage beat and british invasion records, digging through garage comps like a drug addict. Soon after, heavy psychedelia, prog-, hard- and organ driven rock became another field of interest, and later on surf instros, rhythm & blues, soul and funk completed the picture - so far! She regularly spins her records at the wonderful Watusi Bar in her home town Münster and has played in Cologne, Hamburg, Berlin, Paris, Avignon, Nantes, Le Mans, London, Exeter, and other places. During the pandemic she has become a member of the The Forty Five Kings Collective (Forty Five Queens), WANITA, the Rhythm Soul & Funk family, streaming live vinyl sets also for Bill Carson's 60's Mod Pirate Radio, Mynd-Sets (The Tangerine Eclipse) and more.
