As we settle back into bi-monthly frequency, we’ll be sharing recordings from past nights – and we’re kicking off with a really special set: the first in our ‘live at Expert Death’ series.

This excerpt was recorded all the way back in 2022 with Clemency providing just over 90mins of moody, subterranean UK rhythms. Low-slung Dubstep mutations, Grime, Techno and a smattering of anthemic Trap/Drill are all utilised by the Sheffield via Manchester selector, as her set staggers and steps through the darkest corners of Club Music. If you were there on the night you’ll know what this did to the room. Sublime.

We first encountered Kessie on an internet forum many moons ago and were instantly struck by her commitment to finding and sharing outstanding club music. Being hard of hearing, Kessie’s relationship with audio is a vibrational one. Her tempo-bending selections tend towards the looping and the cerebral: a marriage of both hypnotic and more driving rhythms that (in our opinion) so many selectors struggle to reconcile. After a whirlwind 18-months which has seen her play most of Europe’s most celebrated and respected clubs then, we’re looking forward to the Leeds and London-based DJ’s pulsating sounds, as we kick things off again on 28th June.

Fresh from a slew of guest mixes on stations like and , and just 3 months since an explosive closing set at our last edition, IPL’s Sarjan returns to the booth for an earlier slot this time around. Expect BPM juggling and left-field dumpers from an Expert Death favourite. Expansion Pak in the building!!!

We’re 10 tickets away from being sold out of advanced tickets. After that we’ll have 25 tickets OTD tomorrow night: first come first serve.

founder and all-round magician returns to our booth for the first time since setting pace back in 2019. A truly original selector whose vision and style has become an integral part of something really special in the form of Groundwork, get down early and catch an artist we should all be watching in 2023.

Previously rising to dance music’s zenith as Deadboy before releasing stripped-back, heads-down ammunition via his own name over the last few years, Al Wootton’s production and selection encapsulate a wonderful hybridity: delivering an amalgamation of cold, sparse 2-step patterns and dubbed-out technoid minimalism. Fresh from a recent live collaboration with The Moritz Von Oswald Trio and incredible work as one half of Holy Tongue – we’re very much looking forward to seeing what he’s got in store for us on 8th.

We’re down to our last couple of £10 tickets and it’s looking like this one will be sold-out long before next weekend.

An exciting new DJ whose sets are both genre-bending and journey like, Kay Fabe opens up proceeds for us tomorrow night. We’re really looking forward to having her down for her first London booking and would encourage any and all to get down early for what will be the perfect pre-chaos mood setter. Birmingham’s most handsome export and one of our favourite DJs in the UK right now, Sarjan delivers club music with a rare and ceaseless attention to detail.
With a penchant for intricate rhythms and shuddering low-end then, we could think of no one better to see this one out.
