Weekends are especially painful right now as we grieve with all of our couples who can't celebrate their wedding day as they initially planned. For 18 years we have observed people, capturing thousands of moments that connect us as human beings, and there is a noticeable emptiness we're feeling because we are no longer witnessing them outside of our home. Today, we're missing all of the points of contact and connection that make wedding days so poignantly beautiful. Stay well out there friends. We cannot wait to see you on the other side.

In the nick of time before the pandemic quarantine hit, Emily and Yashar intentionally crafted a small and intimate wedding celebration with their families in Emily's childhood home.
Their refreshingly unpretentious day was filled with getting dressed in mom and dad's room, an unscripted first look, a second-hand green dress from eBay, putting shoes on sitting on the kitchen floor surrounded by family followed by a yogurt snack, a ceremony in front of the mantle with couch sitting and standing room only, cheers with champagne for the adults and juice boxes for the little ones, Emily's dad grilling bratwursts on the driveway, and first dance practices in the quiet intimacy of the messy garage.
So honored to have been present to witness this.

The Image Is Found Photography

We're Nate and Jaclyn, the husband and wife photography team behind The Image Is Found.

We believe in taking wedding images that are a pure, honest, and true record of what actually happened on your wedding day. We feel deeply, laugh heartily, and have been celebrating new friends’ marriages with our cameras for the past 18 years.

The Image Is Found is a safe and welcoming space for every gender, sexual orientation, religion, race, culture, and age. We gratefully document a limited number of weddings each year encompassing events of all sizes, budgets, locations, and concepts.

If the images here resonate with you, we invite you to contact us. We would love to discuss more about your wedding day and how our passion for creating photographs can blend with and amplify your passion for each other.
