You’re probably thinking... hmm where’s she going with this one?! But just hear me out!

Although I LOVE my flowers (& don’t get me wrong they are so important at a wedding!) But I’m a florist who is under absolutely no illusion that they are the most important thing on your special day. They absolutely are not!

Number 1 is you.
YOU are the most important thing on your wedding day. (You truly are!) Try not to get yourself in a great big panic thinking aaall about the other things that really aren’t that important. Make the most time for number 1 🤍

Number 2 is your dress.
The dress of your dreams!!! This dress is going to be the one frock that you’ll remember forever. It’s going to make you feel so beautiful & you’ll be glowing from the inside out wearing it 🤍

Number 3 is your flowers.
Your fabulous bridal bouquet is next on the list! Your flowers are going to complement your wedding dress and must never over shine. They’ll help create a theme for your wedding and they should be a true reflection of your personality. Whether it be romantic, gentle, soft, wild, bold or colourful, your flowers should say so much about you 🤍

• HELLO SEPTEMBER •

I feel like I need to say that again for some reason. It’s September?!

I don’t even know where the time has gone & in all honesty, I feel so sad about it. I’m so sad that I haven’t done a single wedding since March this year and the next one I have booked is in December. That is absolute madness!!

Sometimes I feel worried that I don’t have much content to post as I’ve had no beautiful bouquets to make this year & no venues to fill with flowers. The wedding industry seems to have been completely forgotten about as have our lovely couples too. My heart goes out to you all & we will get through this together!

But anyway, life goes on.. And we just need to keep plodding along. So if I’m a little quiet on Facebook, just know that I’m still here & still hopeful & still counting down the days until weddings can properly happen again 🤍🤍🤍

Oooooh my word, what a busy week!! I’m fully booked now for June & October 2021. 💫

I had such a lovely telephone consultation yesterday and I have my first consultation in person this evening since lockdown! I can’t tell you how happy this makes me. Talking about flowers over a cup of tea ☕️🌸🙏🏼

Slowly, things feel like they’re getting a little bit more ‘normal.’ Although I’m not really sure what the new normal is... I feel like I wing it every day & just hope for the best!

Throughout the year, I get so many enquiries about peonies and I have to let people down with “Sorry, but they’re not in season!”

Peonies are usually in season between the end of May and the middle of August. So if you’re a June/July bride... you’ll catch the peonies at their peak. And aren’t they just sensational?!

During the lockdown period, I decided to take a break from social media. I had no wedding flower photographs to post as of course, there have been no weddings for me this summer! But now that things are slowly beginning to lift, I wanted to come back online & start reconnecting 🙏🏼

It’s 8.30am and I’m sat here on my living room floor with a cup of tea next to me. It’s so quiet in my house and it’s so quiet outside. I’m in isolation and I’m polishing my glassware from my last wedding, not knowing when the next one will be after all of the cancellations. Fortunately, I also have a full time job, so I have a little bit of extra security, for now.. But my news feed is filled with so many other wedding suppliers who aren’t secure and it honestly breaks my heart.

I’m thinking of you all 💗
