The wedding ceremony, which could have taken place much later, transferred the status of newlyweds, that is, husband and wife. The innovator Peter I could not ignore this area of the lives of his subjects and, by decree of 1714, established the exact period between betrothal and wedding - 6 weeks. During the wedding, rings were also used, which could be called wedding or wedding rings. Often, poor families used the same rings for this ceremony as during the betrothal, that is, wedding rings.
