Stevie Dean was born in London’s East End, and found a love for singing very early on. Was told she could sing before she could talk, like most kids, she started singing to Motown, Soul, Reggae & Blue Beat records in her bedroom and putting on shows for the family. rmance at the age of 7, when her teacher gave her the solo in the class choir. At aged 17 she decided to try her luck making singing her career. Stevie Shimmers on stage, wearing Jewellery to match her dazzling personality. Her first professional performance came at age 17, when she was asked to perform a 30min spot with the resident band, and that set the ball rolling and soon she found herself working regularly in different bars & working men/social clubs with their resident bands. She became more well known and was now on the books of several agencies. Now performing Special occasions and Conferences, Dinner dances, etc. In 2005 she moved to Cyprus with her family, performing for mainly Holidaymakers in various hotels Including Thomson Gold & Couples hotels and the Day & Evening Yacht cruises for Paphos Sea Cruises. Also for various Wedding companies, restaurants & piano bars. She has also had the opportunity to work with a few of the live musicians there on the island. But most of the time working solo with backing tracks. Stevie was ask to host the local version of the X-Factor in Paphos, which including her running, organising and presenting the show, as well as singing and making the contestants feel at ease. She was asked to do this after she had successfully taken part in another contest show earlier on in the year called “Can’t Sing, Won’t Sing” Where Stevie was asked to mentor a group of contestants to improve their singing ability. Never having taught singing before, Stevie took it in her stride, and brought the contestants that she mentored to victory, The contestants still stay in touch and went for “Can’t Sing, Won’t Sing” to Can’t stop singing, and still using all the techniques she taught them. She is also working with Jay Enterprises and the wonderful team of the "Starlight Dance Party"
From her first performance she has gone from strength to strength perfecting her craft. And now as you watch her perform you can see that she using every emotion and every fibre of her being in a bid to take you the audience on a journey into her world,
Stevie has performed at various places in and around London, South East England and internationally including the Frankfurt Music fair, Germany, Backstage Club, Charing Cross, and London. Notting Hill Carnival, London. She has also made appearances in bars and club in Tenerife, Spain, Curacao, Corfu, etc. Far too many places to mention. In November 2014, Stevie was asked to play a part in a “ Aladdin, the lamp and rubbing it harder!!!” An adult Panto, raising money for The Friends' Hospice Paphos. Stevie played the part of the princess. She enjoyed this experience. Now working between the UK and Cyprus Stevie is looking to WOW many more audiences with her amazing talent, and to show off a few more! As Stevie is now setting her sights on acting! Skills
