Just a wee shout out to everyone who’s come to see me on the UK tour so far. What a blast I’ve had. Blown away to find out I have fans in all corners of the country and like to think I’ve picked up a few along the way. Shout out to the recent audiences in Ulverston (Lakes), Yarm (Yorkshire), Stafford, New Brighton (Wirral). All places I’ve never been before and all places I’ve found lovely new audiences. Thanks so much for the warm welcome and I hope to return in the future.

Remembering a legend...

During May 1911, the famous illusionist The Great Lafayette tragically died during a fire at the Empire Palace Theatre in Edinburgh on Nicolson Street (now the site of the Festival Theatre. (Capital Theatres, Edinburgh

100 years on and as a mark of respect to this inspiring performer, Edinburgh International Magic Festival introduced the Great Lafayette Award in 2011, honouring magicians who have excelled in live stage performances. The first award was won by UK magician Paul Daniels.

Ever since seeing Ant and Dec on BBC children's television show Biker Grove, I've always been a huge fan.

I think they do a great job of presenting Britain's Got Talent and when I had a chance to meet them and speak with them, they were such lovely, lovely people.

They always had time for the contestants behind the scenes on Britain's Got Talent, and were always helpful and very supportive.

I hope they have an amazing 2024 Britain's Got Talent season.

I think one of the most scary memories from Britain's Got Talent for me is that moment when you walk on stage for the first time.

It's weird because whenever you normally go on stage you're introduced, someone will announce you and you'll know exactly when to walk out.

But with BGT it's all a bit weird. Someone eventually says to you, you are standing at the side, well go out then and it is almost like it's deliberately constructed to make you nervous, to make your own unsettled when you go out to see how you respond to it.

And that's what you do. You walk out and they say go and stand on the 'X' and that is what you stand. On the 'X' and you are addressed by the judges and then you do the performance.

It's one of the most nerve-wracking moments of that first going out there in front of judges.

Almost like that gladiatorial vibe, that the gladators must have felt when they were going out into the Colosseum in Rome.

Obviously I didn't think I was gonna lose my life, but even still it was that kind of vibe!

Originally opened in 1921, the theatre has seen tea dances, live music, drama, comedy and now Magic on its stage.

Aberdeen Football Club . What a club.
1200 people packed the P&J Live venue for Player of the Year last night. Buzzing! Was thrilled and honoured to have been asked to provide the after dinner entertainment.

Huge thanks to Kirsty and Amy and all at AFC for looking after me. Shout out to the p and j tech team. Loads of familiar faces, great to work with you again. Great to share a stage with the excellent , hosting.

Congrats Bojan on winning the big award. Special shout out to Graeme, Hannah, Angus and Connor. You were fu***ng legends on stage last night. (Hope you’re feeling better today Angus, you were a bit jumpy last night 😂).

1200 is a big old room, being on after 11pm comes with its challenges and for sure that meant this gig took a bit more prep than usual to get the engagement, humour and club references right. I love tailoring the show to the occasion it takes a lot of time but all the hard work paid off. To have the whole room shouting hell yeah, having 1200 laugh and gasp as a group and then having the players at the end come up afterwards and tell me they’re all coming to my show at the The Tivoli Theatre in June felt great. (21st June - tickets on sale folks!).

Aberdeen is a great club with passionate fans. I won’t forget the love you showed me.

I’ll leave the final words from Club Captain Graeme Shinnie “I’ve been to loads of these events and you’re the best we’ve had. We had ###XX ###x (famous comedian) a few years back and he was booed off!”
