Welcome to Baana, a space where people gather, create, and celebrate.

We are thrilled to announce the opening of our new creative studio and event space in San Francisco's Lower Nob Hill. This is only the beginning, as Baana will be a vehicle for many creative collaborations and gatherings to come!

Friends, neighbors, collaborators,
Welcome to 2019. As Christine and I reflect on the past year, we have much to be proud of and grateful for, and we have learned so much, from you and from each other. And, we've come to understand that not everything that is a good idea is right for this moment.
To this end, we are closing Baana this month and moving onto other projects independently.
If you’d like to stay in touch, you can find us at [email protected] () and [email protected] (.sf / / ), respectively.
Our space is now available for lease as of this month. If you or a colleague is interested, please feel welcome to reach out to either of us for details, or contact our landlord (KayMaria Daskarolis: [email protected] / 415.632.7832) directly.
Thank you for joining us on this journey these past 17 months — whether you were with us for an art opening, Baana Breakfast Society, or a Made In popup, we’re grateful you got to share in our creative spirit and supported this chapter.
Yours,
Maggie + Christine

Kenya Miles • The Central Sun • Opening reception: Fri, Oct 19, 6-9pm • The Central Sun is a meditation and a communication, a visual accompaniment to the sacred and spiritual journeys we are all on in our waking dreams. This series of contemporary painterly works evokes Orishas, spirit animals, temples, pyramids, religious iconography, earth and sky and the central figure of the sun. The Central Sun communicates a sense of the mystic while opening a window to the confusion and order of life here within reach and in other realms.
