This one was unexpectedly therapeutic. It's been far too long since I made marks just for the joy of it. So many years of panicking over whether or not the work will sell and therefore put food on the table and keep a roof over my head took to much of the life out of my work. Getting to scribble without expectation felt so good on my hand and my heart. Poppies for remberance.

I've put it off long enough. I'm sad to announce that I'm closing down my studio at Lowe mill. I'll be here limited days through the rest of the month as I work on packing up. I've loved my time here but a sea of contributing factors has made it clear that it's time for a new chapter in my life. Making art is such a deeply ingrained part of who I am, I'll never stop but it's time to put art as income on a back burner.
