“Clicking” with your vendors can improve your experiences and communication, leading to a smoother wedding day. Your wedding vendors are crucial to the flow and success of your day. Some vendors, like photographers and videographers, are with you from start to finish and enjoying those individuals can drastically enhance your time! So with that being said, here are some facts about me!

✨ Engagement rings ✨

Engagement rings can be traced back to ancient Egyptians who believed the circle represented eternity. These ancient Egyptians intentionally placed tied h**p circles over the vein of love, or vena amoris, on the fourth finger of the left hand.

While some aspects remain the same, we’ve moved past h**p and onto stronger materials and adornments to ensure the longevity of such a precious symbol of love. Gold is the most common metal used, with options of yellow gold, white gold, and rose gold, but other options include silver and platinum. And since the early 1930’s the diamond has become the most popular stone used in engagement rings and symbol of everlasting love, this is attributed to diamonds being the hardest natural mineral on earth (and clever campaigning!).

Many couples are choosing alternative rings, stones, and symbols of their commitment to each other. Whether you and your partner choose a traditional or non-traditional route, your commitment to each other will be a precious thing 🤍

Did you know the history of bridesmaids and groomsmen originate from ancient Romans? These ancient Romans were highly superstitious and believed by dressing 10 maids and 10 men identical to the bride and groom the newly wed couple would be protected from malicious spirits.

Times and responsibilities may have changed for modern wedding parties, but the love and hope for the wedded couple remains! What’s the difference between Save the Dates and Invitations?

Save the dates are traditionally sent out 8-12 months in advance of your wedding date. This announcement contains who is getting married, the city the wedding will take place and date so your guests can plan accordingly.

Invitations are typically sent 3 months prior to your wedding date. These official invitations contain finalized information such as location addresses, times, dress code, RSVP requests and more.

Save the dates and wedding invitations options are endless. You can choose from pre-designed options, create your own, send digital or physical copies. Your wedding is unique to you and your partner, be sure to choose what’s best for you both!

Let’s talk my favorite wedding detail: the veil 🤍

Veils are one of the oldest parts of a bridal ensemble, dating back to Greek and Roman times. Many brides forgo this traditional element in favor of bows, tiaras, capes and more. I’m an advocate of choosing what feels best for you, but I’ll always hold the veil as my personal favorite 🤍

If a veil is right for you, there are numerous styles to choose from! The most popular include elbow and fingertip length, blusher, chapel and cathedral; each style providing a unique addition to your bridal look. Looking for something less traditional than the tulle veil? Think about an embroidered, colored or pearl studded veil as a fun detail that showcases your individuality!
