Cambridge ravers! We are super excited that our guest DJ for the next Found Sounds is one of the outstanding members of the Hungarian underground techno scene, the one and only Katamii

After she raised the roof in 2648 Cambridge back in January, we couldn’t resist inviting her back to Cambridge, so that she could show us more of the energetic, dark, and hypnotic techno she is renowned for. We can’t wait to welcome her back to Cambridge on the 19th of July!

Cambridge ravers!

Found Sounds returns to the rave cave of 2648 Cambridge to create once again a space for self expression, dancing, and quality techno music.

Our guest DJ for the night is the outstanding member of the Hungarian underground techno scene, Katamii. After she raised the roof in 2648 in January, we couldn’t resist inviting her back to Cambridge, so that she could show us more of the energetic, dark, and hypnotic techno she is renowned for. And to make the night even more special, she will play b2b all night long with our founder and resident DJ, Petah.

KATAMII [O.Z.O.R.A. / AETHER]

If you've ever been to O.Z.O.R.A. Festival in Hungary, you've probably heard Katamii playing at the Pumpui stage there. Her sets are not only an elemental part of the stage, but she is also one of the stage's main managers and musical leaders. As a prominent member of the Hungarian techno scene, she has also been playing at club nights and festivals around Hungary and Europe, including multiple performances at Noisily Festival in the UK.

Since 2019, she has been a resident DJ of TAEC, the regular techno night in AETHER, one of Budapest’s leading underground dance music clubs. During the last few years, she shared the stage with artists such as Efdemin, Altinbas, Yonti, The Lady Machine, KUSS, Sam Paganini, Tapefeed, Matrixxman, Marcal, Kr!z, Oliver Lieb, Moteka, Unbalance, Rene Wise, Arkan, Norman Nodge, Ignez, Olivia Mendez, and many many more.

Her style is best described as impulsive, striking a balance between the energetic and hypnotic sides of techno music, and you can always catch her trademark deep dirty pulsating rhythm throughout her sets.

Make no mistake, she's a real wolf in sheep's clothing, and we can't wait to have her back on Found Sounds!

Cambridge ravers! Less than two weeks until our house music division is back in 2648 Cambridge.

Raj.P and Damian S represent the Found Sounds crew, and they will bring you the usual fresh, groovy and bass-heavy four-to-the-floor beats.

Making his Cambridge debut, we also introduce Subsea Jay, the co-founder of torr Records, an independent music collective and label based in Edinburgh and Cambridge. Expect raw grooves right from the start, to set the tone for raucous energy later in the night.

Cambridge ravers! Our house music division is back in the Rave Cave of 2648 Cambridge in June for another night of forward-thinking house music and friendly vibes.

The Found Sounds crew will be represented by two of our resident DJs, Raj.P and Damian S. They will bring you a versatile selection of four-to-the-floor beats, covering all the bases from deep to energizing vibes.

On warm-up duties, we introduce Subsea Jay to the Cambridge crowd, who will be representing tòRR Records. tòRR is a Scottish independent record label, currently split between Cambridge and Edinburgh, and running their own radio show on EHFM.

Our aim with Found Sounds is to create a safe space where we can all enjoy dance music together, and where everybody can feel comfortable to be themselves without being judged.

Since we started Found Sounds, the sound of techno music has evolved a lot, and we have also changed with it. Recently, we have felt a significant shift in the global techno scene, as well as in the style of music we listen to and play on Found Sounds.

It was time to capture this shift in the form of this conceptual promo mix by Petah, which aims not only to take you on a transformative musical journey but also to showcase the sound you can expect to hear on our regular techno nights in Cambridge.

Cambridge ravers!

Our techno residency returns to the vaults of 2648 Cambridge on the 17th of May, showcasing tunes ranging from the deep and hypnotic to the raw and energetic side of the techno genre.

Our guest DJ for the night is Andy Duckett, one of the long-standing selectors based in Cambridge. If you are familiar with the local dance music scene, you have certainly heard his eclectic sets before on gigs such as Whoosh! or at our very own house music night, Haz. To fit the vibe of Found Sounds, Andy will venture into new territories and showcase a versatile selection of techno tunes from his music collection.

The lineup of course wouldn’t be complete without our resident DJs representing the Found Sounds crew. This time around Damian S is preparing a banging peak-time techno set for you, while Petah will be on warmup duties easing you into a dancing mood with a selection of fresh hypnotic techno sounds.
